You can take the p*ss as much as you want, but looking at the so-vaunted form for the last few months, beating the likes of Leeds and Norwich and tw*tting the life out of Huddersfield and Walsall, the performances and results of Exeter, Wycombe and Tranmere stand out like sore thumbs and should not have happened. They are what has seriously endangered our quest to reach the playoff places. Despite our progress, the team has a weakness that needs to be addressed before next season: I make no bones about it, am not embarassed to point it out and am certainly not going to apologise for harking on about it.

Seeing as winning all our remaining games would send us to the playoffs, I find this attitude, which is prevalent in our fan base, very depressing.

Usually I reckon Piers Morgan is a attention-seeking w**ker, but he was spot on in the Sundays about Beckham picking up the green-and-gold scarf at OT during last week. He turns everything into about HIM, not the team. I reckon England will be a better unit for his absence in SA (or would have been if Cole and Terry had kept their d*cks in their trousers)

There is two ways of looking at it; the impact on the team performance, and the absolute quality comparison. I am of no doubt that the two pairs are on a par in the first case. In the second case, I think zou are being a bit unfair. Describing Lundekvam as top quality and Fonte as lower quality seems a bit daft.

We held on to a 1-0 win yesterday, on the back of improving frequency of clean sheets. Saints used to be guaranteed to draw games when 1-0 up for a large section of the game (or even lose...).
