  1. Really enjoyed reading that. Especially loved the Ossie entry.
  2. Looks like dear Adam is sensitive to criticism...
  3. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8329673.stm I laughed until I nearly puked my schnitzel up..
  4. Vaguely remember him, and yes, he was a bit simian-like. Pic, anyone ?
  5. We are slowly reeling the pack back in, but I somehow feel that the table position curve is about to take on an exponential relationship vs. effort, meaning we will make a few leaps and bounds for the next month or so, then its going to be a war of attrition to advance up the table any further. What is essential now, in my opinion, is keeping the momentum of the last month going AND not having the usual Saints Christmas period (lose everything...)
  6. Another few reasons to hate Leeds : Lee Bowyer Alan Smith Lee Chapman
  7. Was going to make the same point but decided it bordered on pedantry. Also, AP has not hinted at any sort of dissatisfaction with DH in public, so the whole thing is news to the fan base anyway. Its sloppy journalism however you look at it.
  8. What a predictable post. An apologist to the end...
  9. Which critics are those then ? Adam Leitch is a sh*te journalist.
  10. Indeed.
  11. Oh yes. Dirty team, moronic fans.
  12. Jeez, and you accuse me of obsession (amongst other things...)
  13. Wow, last season ? You lightweight. Just in case you missed it, I've been predicting admin since we failed in the playoffs and the parachute payments were finished.
  14. Who said anything about the thread or discussion being boring ? I meant your posts. They are so predictable. and you lecture about ADDING value. Again, you've tried to blame our admin on a "non-Lowe" period. B*ll*cks, his arrogance and inability to keep an eye on the ball got us relegated from the PL and put the real stress on our financial strucutre. Wilde and Crouch simply took a big risk in trying to return quickly that would have paid off with a competent manager. I dont blame them at all, our financial difficulties were inevitable following relegation.
  15. E-mail on its way, ART.
  16. Sorry, I cant wish what we've been thru on any other team, except maybe the blue slime down the M27...
  17. How's the media studies going ?
  18. Suggest you have a quick goosie at a dictionary. For someone who thinks he "never sneers", that post was full of it...
  19. There wasnt any point at all to your post, other than of course sneering at anyone daring to suggest that Saga deserves more consideration than the trite dismissal that you are willing to offer him. As you say, "standard stuff really"...
  20. IMO, it was a sh*te reply (no disrespect to you intended Mr. X). This is a discussion with a given context; the re-emergence of SFC as a footballing force, and the fact that one of our best players is being left behind as the train pulls out of the station. It wasnt a discussion about macro-climatic conditions leading to a drought and famine in Eastern Africa. And to paraphrase the Captain Willard from Apocalypse Now, criticising an English professional footballer for having ridiculously high wages is like handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500.
  21. Lowe's "prudence" nearly killed this club through the financial equivalent of malnutrition (I would love to know how chopping and changing managers with the prerequisite contract pay-offs can be deemed "prudent "). He built NOTHING last time round, and didnt have a clue how to either - all he was doing was trying to prop the share price up with short-term financial results. ML and NC have proven what the likes of Wes Tender and myself said for ages (and were abused for) - that spending on the team in sensible amounts would improve the performance, get the results, and put ticket-buying bums on seats. But nooo, fools like you were actually willing to sell off the family silver to buy a couple of weeks breathing space at-a-time, and sod the effect on the team/performance quality. Lowe's approach has been totally discredited. Give it up now, its boring.
  22. Maybe Saga has felt too secure earning those wages. Maybe he will pull himself up by his bootstraps. For the first time he has BIG competition at SMS. He's not getting any younger and his reputation is being damaged. He could find himself without a club when his contract runs out. He could still do the biz for us at this level. He has more than enough talent. Maybe AP could be the one to shake him out of his lazy funk.
  23. Amen to that.
  24. Its called "sarcasm", Nick...
  25. Cheers for pointing that out. Sounds like he will be alright
