  1. And that was exactly the way I took the original OP.
  2. Absolutely. I for one thought Premier League football was on its way back to SMS after Wilde took over and gave Burley the lattitude to do what he wanted (and more or less spend what he wanted) with the team. NEVER AGAIN. I do profoundly apologise if that comes across as "negative".
  3. Agree completely, with one caveat : I hope AP is doing all he can in-between matches to either secure the services of Antonio and Trottman permanently, or finding permanent replacements of similar quality. January isnt that far away...
  4. Then dont expect me to change my mind...
  5. Look, I have forever been told to put the Lowe and Burley years aside (not by you admittedly). I have no issue with you pursuing your known bent for putting things into their historical context, I just reckon that the wounds are still too raw in this case.
  6. I am happy too. I just dont think we need a smart-arse telling us how many games we have gone without defeat, since we are all Saints fans as much as him and know it already
  7. Cant you drop it, Dunc ?
  8. Oh, wow. another thread to sneer and have a dig at anyone who doesnt toe the party line...
  9. I just find the smugness and sermonising about Saints performances tedious. We could go back to where we came from at the drop of a hat, and you all know it. I am really chuffed at the change of fortune at our club, and look forward to the next match with confidence now - we shouldnt fear anyone. But I also know that if a whiff of complaiceny sets in, that could all change overnight.
  10. This is the danger of building your team and your clubs re-emergence around loan deals. Let's hope AP knows where the ground lies and the club know either how much to offer PNE or know who to replace him with.
  11. Bizarre at how aggressive a certain element of our fan base gets when we win. I thought the aggression was about losing...
  12. He doesnt need a bunch of gaudy jinxed paperweights to get us near promotion. Just the continued love and support of NC and ML...
  13. One of the biggest reasons for our first relegation, combined with the loss of Svensson. Lundekvam just gave up and went AWOL.
  14. Will be Kenny Jackett (I hope)
  15. Exactly, its not like we dont have record for going 2 or 3 up and blowing it, is it ?
  16. For the first time since the 80s, I feel like we dont fear anyone in our path and we can expect a result out of a game. Which is why the Orient result was so damned annoying.
  17. How the hell are we going to convince player and club to make this deal go through in Janurary ?
  18. Why would it p*ss me off ?
  19. Nope, just fed up with your patronising attitude.
  20. Of course not. But the average Saints fan can count and knows the results we're getting. NickG seems to feel the need to state the bleedin obvious after every game. We're not stupid, he's not the only one to spot the run, and its getting tedious.
  21. Sorry, I've just watched Wrath of Khan this evening. *GEEK ALERT*
  22. We get the message, FFS.
  23. Revenge is a dish best served cold, and its very cold in Bristol.... Great result, sign Antonio, send Gobern out on loan.
  24. We have a good first choice defensive line-up, and no depth whatsoever. We were home high-and-dry until Pardew changed the defence. For that reason, and the Orient game, I consider our defence to be fragile and requiring further work.
