  1. FFS, TDD.... He's a smart enough cookie and rich enough to get the brains he needs for any field where he isnt an expert. This is a totally different type of person we are dealing with compared to Lowe's big-time Charlie amateur outfit.
  2. Counts for NOTHING in this sort of decision. Hr. Liebherr isnt a billionaire on the back of making such emotional judgements.
  3. A wide todger.
  4. All this hysteria about Tony Adams being manager.... IT. WILL. NOT. BE. HIM. The new owner is put a large wodge into buying the club, and will put another wodge in sorting the mess out. Does he really want to throw it away ? Why in fecks name would he appoint a failed manager from our worst enemies, friendship link to his family or not ??? This new owner can afford to pursue the right manager for the team and club, not the right manager for the bank balance. Give the new owner and off-field management a bit of credit, FFS.
  5. I find the changing of the name of Gibson's dog to be an outrage. Not because of the dog himself, but because it was the code word transmitted back by the aircraft to indicate the Moehne dam had been breached. It is integral to the history of the raid.
  6. Dont you think they know already ?
  7. Used to think Keane would do a good job at SFC, but no longer. I just think the ethos of the club and the man are too far apart.
  8. Oh, do leave it out. Your e-mail will not make the blindest difference. Let the new management get on with their job.
  9. You sick, sick man.
  10. I was thinking similar - someone is having a personal battle thinking it over. I reckon that makes it Strachan.
  11. Look, Andy Oldknow aint stupid. He helped put the Swiss deal together and landed himself a cushy number as a reward. He isnt going to screw the pooch by appointing a failed ex-Skate manager
  12. I can believe this is a serious prospect. All the good work of the last couple of days would be undone in one fell swoop.
  13. Reasonably content. Cautiously optimistic.
  14. Can you provide a link ? I'm happy to do so. I am not completely certain that I am that bothered about losing those players, TBH. Besides, until I read the interview, the link between Pinnacle's exclusivity and them going seems like pure conjecture to me; both are young, impatient and want to ply their trade at a higher level, and I reckon McG was off back to Nottingham whatever happened.
  15. Cant see Hr. Liebherr going for that, to be honest. Though I agree with the sentiment - large pendulant boobies would do me fine.
  16. If the numbers being bandied about are true, its about 50p to the pound. That is NOT a rip-off.
  17. Now that its a done deal, and since there is a whiff in the air of a few f**k-ups along the way, the conclusion I would draw is no, he isnt int he same league as MLT. Though I will be grateful to him for a long time.
  18. I really, really dont understand why this b*ll*cks is still going. Some of you claim that Pinnacle held up, nay, jepoardised the Liebherr deal. Having not read Cortese's interview in the Echo, I can only say there is nothing to indicate Liebherr lost interest. In fact, the comment above inidicates they suspected Pinnacle would fall through and were willing to wait. Now conisder this. The fairly public barney between Pinnacle and the FL may not only have made all sides (including the FL) more focused and urgent about concluding when the Liebherr deal came possible again, but it MAY have given the FL a slap to prevent further points deductions. I would suggest you all stop f**king moaning. It's all a part of history as much as Lowe is.
  19. Indeed. Its pathetic. Its not even Saints-related really.
  20. Can someone explain to me what Misselbrook's problem is now ? It's Aviva's/Barclays's/Hr. Liebherr's money, and they've decided to pay it up for services rendered. And people accuse me of looking for the next thing to moan about. I havent seen a single expression of celebration from Guided Missile that the club has been saved. Oh, and I am sure Mr. Fry will be extremely happy to see his services being compared to one of the most abhorrent crimes one human can committ to another.
  21. What's a dog show got to do with our open managerial vacancy ?
  22. Cloth Ears plays "which Swiss managers can I remember then ?"
  23. You can tell which departure, Strachan or Hoddle, we know deep down did the most damage, by the level of vitriol directed at each by the fans in discussion. It was Hoddle by far.
  24. just spat tea all over the keyboard.
