Agree with hypo. Top-notch post. I for one am not feeling becalmed. I am very happy about recent events at SFC...

Absolutley. Completely agree. This thread makes disgraceful reading. The amount of whinging and negativity on here considering : -The club has survived. -The club is under stable, fresh management on and off field with no baggage. For me, the sign of them doing their job properly is that they are invisible. Havent we wanted that for aeons ??? -The club is F*KING DEBT-FREE, which has been commented on by the new managment several times in the press -Most SFC fans are looking forwards to the future and not the past, as is emphasised by ST sales which will end up significantly more than last season There are some serious ego problems on this site. Pathetic attention-seeking. Nickh has always been a miserable tw*t, but f*ck knows what is driving Dunc. Got too close to Crouch, I think.

Saints first. Couldnt give a shiny one for England so long as the likes of Beckham and Lampard are on the scene.

How damaging do you think the Pinnacle fiasco will be..?

Agree completely. Cant make my mind up if it is attention-seeking, score-settling or paranoia. -
An excellent post. And I have to say, I see all the changes you outline as being for the positive for SFC going forward under its new ownership, so thank heavens ML came along.

Duncan, I am utterly astounded at your negativity. We are now owned by someone well respected; a man of principle, who has made it clear he wants to bring the good times back to Saints, and the actions of whose management since he took over has clearly demonstrated that commitment and shown that we are moving slowly in that direction. I for one couldnt give a sh*t that he completely owns the club; I feel that I and my fellow fans are no more powerless to effect change at SMS than we were under the Beetroot-faced twot. The ultimate sanction of voting-with-your-feet and not going or paying for tickets remains, if ML did something REALLY outrageous, but I for one am certain that occasion will not arise. So what if somewhen in the future he flogs a valuable young player to make some money ? I am sure he will put some of it back into the team, and besides, its not like previous boards havent done anything like that, is it ?

I find the crusade some people have against Rasiak, and have had for several seasons now, absolutely ridiculous. I really would like to know who some of these self-appointed "experts" reckon we could get in to replace him..

I commented several times that the p*ssing about was going to catch up with us at some point. But it seems our brilliant fans have made good on the revenue issue by buying their STs in double-quiick time. However, the issue of the sqaud and the manager remain, and we are on -10 points... I genuinely think the main target for this season is consoldiation in League One, and go for promotion next season. -
Looking forward to the Brentford match on the 22/8..

Wont be seeing Askham at SMS any more.

Or Denmark. Remember, they only got in last-minute because Yugoslavia were kicked out. -
Nope. He's a w*nker who held us back for years with his plc b*llocks.
-
No thanks.

Christ, has this thread turned into another pathetic excuse for McMenemy-bashing ? FFS, we have some tw*ts following our club.
-
C'est la vie... Good luck to Killer - best defender I saw in the red-and-white since the days of Golac.
-
Ridiculous comment. The new owner is German-Swiss. You obviously dont understand how they feel about finance and debt.
-
Completely mad.

You can be a right idiot sometimes. Yes we are there, and we may deserve it because of inept management and disinterested players, but we are not a bottom of 3rd Div club.
-
This is unexpected. I reckon he is a good choice for getting us back into the CCC and possibly the PL thereafter. But then ? Seems like a middle-term appointment. But what the hell, with a couple more years under his belt, even that may click. We could have ended up with a lot, lot, worse.

Was Roopey there to cheer the boyz on ? After all, it was just down the road for him.
-
Wow, zero content as usual.

I reckon that despite his claimed devotion to SFC, Misselbrook would rather have seen the team go under than lose the bragging rights he perceives himself to have. I am deepply disappointed that the likes of Weston Saint agree with his original post, since any merit at all contained within it was totally undermined by the sneering and absuive manner in which it was delivered.

This approach hardly started with the blue crap, its what Lawrie did. I still think its a valid approach.
