What are Aviva going to do with it if they reject the only offer on the table and no further offers are forthcoming ? They will get NO money then, and if they kill the company running and maintaining the site, its value will plummet.
-
No, its a load of rubbish on two counts. Not only does it try to absolve Lowe by saying nobody could have done better, it is also trying to say that Crouch would have taken us to admin sooner, for which there is absolutely no supporting evidence whatsoever.
-
I agree that Burley blew our one chance at redeeming the situation, but if Lowe hadnt been a tit in the first place, he wouldnt have had the opportunity.

FFS change the record.

No major surprises, but we cannot go into another season with McGoldrick as our only source of goals.
-
Yep. And most sensible people know that. The mistakes were made in the 2004-2005 season. By Lowe.

A thoroughly predictable post...

Thanks for the info. Imo, the highest value to be achieved for the creditors is to sell the whole thing as a going concern. The whole being greater than the sum of its parts. If that means that Fry cant get very much in the current economic climate, well that's Barclays's and Aviva's tough sh*t - I am sure they have lost a lot more money than this on projects elsewhere, and their own fault for allowing things to get to this point. Maybe Barclays should have thought ahead and not bounced those cheques..

I would like to know two things from him : Who promised investment in 2006 and let him down, and why ? Why did he totally succumb to Lowe over the last year ?

What assets ? The players are shiite to a man and worth f**k all. SMS probably has a covenant on it barring use of the land for anything else. Pompey could hire out a hundred flat-beds and try moving it down the M27, I suppose... Jacksons Farm is STILL green-belt Staplewood is about the only bankable asset we've got, and that isnt going to cancel out the debts. Why dont you give it a rest with the scaremongering BS ???

Here we go again... He wheeled it out regularly for Burley, now here it comes for Wotte... Record, groove, stuck in...

I rated Tessem; as long as he is fit, I would welcome him back.

That reminds me... havent seen a post from Franks cousin recently..

How on earth can they release the figures when it isnt even clear yet that we can fulfill them ? Surely the FL have some sort of cut-off date ?

In fairness to nickh, at least reality has dawned on him, unlike the likes of NickG who appear to want to pretend the past never happened.

Bloody hell, talk about changing your tune....

We'll find out if libel writs start flying in from the Cotswolds, wont we ??

For those of you fed-up with the mug-slinging, why dont you avoid the thread. Some of us are not fed up with it, and some of us want the full story of the last 5 or 6 years out in the open. Then every event can be put into its proper context. I would love somebody to write a comprehensive book about the PLC years, or at least about the time since the FA Cup Final. Dunc ?

A damning endictment of Rupert Lowe's approach to this season, in other words...
-
Why is it a straight choice between the two ? If your Messiah hadnt been such a self-opinionated stubborn and arrogant arse, and been truly concerned for the club like he claimed to be, we could have had administration, new owners AND started next season orderly on nil points. Instead, we dont know when we can sell season tickets, the manager (or a new one) cannot start building a team, and there is every chance that we wont get a proper pre-season the longer this mess continues. Lowe knew administration was coming; for reasons only known to him inside that petty pathetic lump of grisle that passes for a brain, he decided, like he did by dragging the EGM out to the last minute in 2006, to settle for doing maximum damage.

What, no statistics ??? No pithy refrence to Lawrie Mac and the 70s ???
