  1. A few points : I am not an art expert, but I doubt that the Ctiy's art collection has anything of serious-shiit value that could make a significant dent in the clubs debt Again, why should something that belongs to ALL southampton residents be used to keep the past time going on a small minority ? The database argument is not relevant, SFCs attendance is ca. 20,000 on average. Using the art collection to reduce council tax load for all residents has a justifiable air about, it, but dammit, its a short-term, superficial almost neanderthal-like thing to consider. I am of the opinion that this is only being suggested because art-gallery visitors and football match attendees are almost mutually-exclusive; it may also be an extension of the "class-war" thing people were accused of in their opposition to Lowe, only that battle has now lost its chief protagonist. After all, art is considered to be a "toff" thing. Jesus, the more I think of it the more bizarre this is. Its like taking Shakespeare off the GCE English Literature exam and replacing him with JK Rowling..
  2. Spectacular. Really.... Makes you proud to hail from Southampton  A private venture gets into trouble, and the lunatic fringe call for the city's art gallery to be looted...
  3. Southampton City Council represent the interests of ca. 200,000 Southampton residents. A helluva lot more than ca. 20,000 of it residents from one minority interest group. The fact that you find merit in this idea says all it needs to for me...

  5. Yes, it is a compromise. We havent broken the letter fo the rules as it stands, but have broken the spirit of them. Nobody goes down because we've been let off, because we go down either way. But we get a clean slate for next season. Clearly a compromise. We get punished, no legal action from other CCC teams.
  6. Agree with this. It's a toss-up. I reckon SFC should just accept the verdict, either way. I would accept the 10 points being deducted if we are out of the relegation zone this season, but not being deducted if we are relegated, as a compromise if offered.
  7. I reckon we have more chance of avoiding the points deduction than getting a result from Watford. Will be fascincating to see how the team respond to the news from the League HQ, either way..
  8. Andrew Strode-Gibbons, or whatever his name is.
  9. And the worst is yet to come. Someone please tell me Rasiak cant play...
  10. I love it how history started after Lowe left We are in this mess because we got RELEGATED and left with Premiership level costs such as the stadium debt
  11. What chances of that after Saturday's performance, do you think ?
  12. Schnedierlin is the new Agustin Delgado. Considering the plight the club is in, we've probably wasted as much money on him in real terms too.
  13. He will be. He doesnt stand to line his own pockets from the decision. And I reckon that one contender will emerge more attractive than the others.
  14. And what a f**king waste that was.
  15. Superb post. Top-notch.

A pity your "sensible" messiah never attempted an element of balance in his interviews as well then, isnt it ? Because apparently, its all the fault of Crouch, the Wilde execs (at the moment hes not accusing Wilde directly) and Barclays, and NOTHING to do with a few utterly waank decisions he made back in 2003/2004. Maybe if he attempted a bit of balance once-in-a-while, he wouldnt be so hated.
  17. Yep, I reckon you are right there.

  19. Oh dear, hit a nerve have I ? How come the things that concern you are "realistic concerns" and those that concern others are "being negative" ? I stated all along this season that this is the way things would play out (though I expected it to go into next season and League 1 once the admin deadline in March was passed - not to happen LESS THAN A F**KING WEEK LATER - nice communication between board and Barclays, eh ?), for which we were told anything is better than admin and abused for holding that viewpoint. The administrator said he is confident of selling the football club within a couple of weeks and that amongst the tyre kickers are some serious bids. SO WHAT'S YOUR F**KING PROBLEM ? Is it simply that based on the situation as it stands now, its more likely that I am right than you are ? After all, it cant be that you want the club to fail without Lowe, can it, by your own words ? (A piece of advice: if you dont like being accused of wanting the club to collapse, dont accuse others of it)
  20. Utter bolllocks. But why should we forget the bullshiiit and abuse people like you came out with ? As for not being interested in the clubs survival, it is YOU playing down the chance of a buyer/investor coming in, not me. Seems to me it is you that wants the sale to fail so you can say "look - we were better sticking with Lowe, at least we still had a club".
  21. First time I have agreed with a post of yours; had to happen sometime..
  22. I would agree with this. This season is a write-off. The best we can hope for is being on 0 points in League 1 at the start of it.
  23. Didnt he burst into tears in town one night, a few weeks back, when someone decided to give him a forthright opinion of his current form ???
