what happened to "Surman and Lallana off as soon as window opens"
alpine_saint replied to Ken Tone's topic in The Saints
Everybody gather round......I have something to inform you about.... TSW approach to sneering and being "Mr. Right" - apparently its OK so long as it favours Lowe or the club management. -

Give it up, adriansfc. I answered in exactly the same tone as it was posted. Of course, you object less to his "message"........ -

So, in your book "splitting hairs" is about not being able to give the precise date and time in Greenwich Mean Time as to when the deal will be registered by the FA or revealed in the Daily Echo ? Riiiiightyho..... -

Well you have a very poor memory, then. This thread is title with a QUOTE, and a done deal with Spurs does not necessarily mean immediately the window opens. Maybe Spurs want to save a months wages too ? Also, both have suffered minor INJURIES -
I was in hurry, so was unable to elaborate further. Why do you think that underfunding the team with the aim of ensuring financial stability will really ensure the club does not go into administration, considering the quality of the football that will result, possibly even leading to relegation ? Why is there a huge assumption on many sides that the fan will continue turning up and footing the bill for utter dross ? I am adamant in my belief that relegation will lead to administration as sure as night follows day. In effect, looking at our league position and the dwindling number of games left, I think the club has one foot in the grave already.

Ahhhhh. Poor Roopey..... *cue violins* LOL at the contradiction in this post. It was just an excuse, but you expect to happen anyway.. -
Inventing a time machine and going back in time to shoot Jimmy Hill, Terminator/Sarah Connor-stylee is more feasable than a workable wage cap that the big clubs will adhere to.

You dont get it, do you ? Why are the two mutally exclusive ? You say yourself about fan expectation.

I dont recall the quote being made by anybody. Plenty reckon (and still do) that they will be gone by the time the window closes (considering how Lowe tends to do these things), still think so, and have said so. Maybe you should get your facts right before starting piissing contests. -
is lowe waiting for the transfer window to close...

I expect JP to remain at SFC, because of contract pay-offs If Lowe does do something, he will rejiggle and put Wotte on top. -
I agree on face value, as things stand, but fully expect Lallana, Surman, maybe Davis and maybe even Saga out of the door on the last day. As soon as our back is turned, the knife will go in..

Oh, the irony......

FFS. Pahars was a f**king superstar for us. Love the little guy..

Yes, we've all got an agenda...... Run along now....

An Big Lawrie got us promoted and won us the FA Cup. Case closed.

I would have suggested that McMenemy being in the "lower reaches" and then having the "highest calibre" players somewhat cancels each other out. Also, the "highest calibre" players you refer to were arguably at least slightly past their peak, hence we coudl afford them in the first place. Oh, and Burley has a PL squad (costing PL amounts of money) in the CCC, in my opinion, which makes his acheivements even worse. You carry on with your superficial preoccupation with lying statistics why dont you, and leave the grown-ups to consider the more subtle and critical issues.

Started a thread on this on Off-Topic. Was my favourite BBC sports presenter; I credit Ski Sunday and Winter Olympic coverage under his warm dulcet tones for getting me into skiing and winter sports.

FFS, not this tissue of lies again. Almost all of those managers got their points-per-game ratio in the TOP echelon of English football. Oh, except one G. Burley. Which means Hoddle's and McMenemy's record piiss all over his. Most hated: clearly Burley. Most loved: McMenemy, and I am sure it is the same for 90% of our fans - only the Lowe Luvvies who dislike the attention it draws away from their jealous God would disagree.

Strange, I recall us being relegated in 2005......... I really worry about all this dangerous complaicency......

Gillet Schneiderlin and Holmes were how we started the season off. What we missed then was a more robust defence and someone for them to supply. With the new Dutch dude in the mix, and Saga back, maybe that midfield line-up could work again. Lalllana or BWP on the right, McG in the hole, Saga up front.
