  1. Yes, possibly. If it had referred to the Reading result, there would have been zero subtlety about the spin element and would have been easier to dismiss. I am not saying it was written after the Reading game, but it IS still possible that it was.
  2. So you dont think losing Surman, Schneiderlin and Lallana will tear the heart out of this team again ? You're a loon.
  3. It proves NOTHING of the sort. I proves the release was possibly written before the game, that's all.
  4. And last time I checked, Monday is the first business day after Saturday. Tell me Steve, seeing as all Trust grandees seem to be in the pocket of the club nowadays, would these results have been posted today if we had lost 5-0 on Saturday, or would they have been held back until in the hope of a potential win against Plymouth ?
  5. Look at what is going on with Arsenal. And they can delvier big-name reputation, a sniff at the PL title AND Champions League football, as well as the youth players involved being light years better in quality than ours. Also, as is being inferred today, the financial crisis at our club means players being sold in Janurary - meaning JP has to start from square one again, all the time the residual quality of the squad is dropping. Forget this bolllocks - time for a bit more pragmatism and less dogma.
  6. Dont see the point of going over this in detail again, but basically Lowe spent sod-all in the first relegation season, he was too busy retrenching the finances to care about trying to get back up again. He reckoned he could keep up revenue without delivering the same standard of product. If he had been in charge continuously since then, I contend our financial state would have been no better than now. His penny-pinching risk-averse bolllocks possibly combined with a second relegation could well have seen attendances lower than they are now. Wilde & co put the family silver on black, hoping to get us up into the PL, unfortunately Burley decided he preferred red. If Burley hadnt been such a twaat, it would have worked. I dont blame Wilde & Co for that (there is plenty else to blame them for). They tried to get us up - that squad would have done it automatically with the right coach. Our finances were wrecked by RELEGATION. The aftermath was just an aggravation. Lowe is utterly cracked if he thinks he can turn this into a profit-making organisation in its current division. Almost NOBODY is making money from football.
  7. And to think the thread about "Lowe milking the Reading result" was promptly deleted on Saturday..........
  8. ...preparing us for the sale of our final decent established or fast-improving players in January. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/3871404.Saints_announce___4_9m_loss_/ Isnt it nice that the club is run in an honest and utterly non-cynical manner ??
  9. Yep. Crouch and Pearson should have been given a season to try to turn things round in their own way. Yes, we would have still needed to make deep cost cuts, but there is absolutely no way they would have proven so divisive within the fan base or caused such a large drop in attendance.
  10. A geuninely hysterical and abuse response to a perfectly valid question that has taxed many a Saints fan down the years. I wasnt even the first one to make this very point on the site post-match. I can only assume your very stupid and over-the-top comments are some sort of mirror for your own life. I briefly considered reporting this post, then decided it was so ridiculous that I couldnt be bothered to waste further oxygen or electricity on it.
  11. I thought that was a Sean Connery impression, for some reason.
  12. You many be able to cling to this result come May if we go down, but personally I am a bit more ambitious than that.
  13. Let's see if we can follow this game up with a good result in the next one before we conclude that, eh ? Like going ahead and holding on to a lead, even if the other team grabs one goal back, the test of a improving team is being able to build on a good result.
  14. But why, really ? Players, managers even chairmen have come and gone. What's the source of it ? It implies that a given manager does not have the ability to mentally prepare the players for every game correctly, but this situation has afflicted loads of managers at SFC.
  15. Why has Southampton Football Club always lost to crap, but then prevailed against opposition expected to murder us ?
  16. Completely gob-smacked. I was on a Christmas market this afternoon, so it took a while for the result to get through my Gluehwein-enduced fug. I am as delighted as anyone at this result. Reading's first defeat at home - amazing. But this time, unlike the Preston result, it has to be followed through to the next game, or it will count for nothing. I also find it a crying shame that pathetic little winnets like Hypochondriac and Northant Saint have to turn this into some sort of personal abuse, like I would be pleased at losing. Suffice to say it makes them look very foolish, especially as both of them deep down were probably expecting to lose too.
  17. We will lose by 4 goals - going for 5-1, maybe 5-0.
  18. How really, truly pathetic that the Luvvies are now trying to pre-empt criticism of the team and management the day before games. Seems even the die-hard luvvies have no faith in our ability to get results anymore.
  19. You wouldnt have been saying that if it the opportunity hadnt been blown by a disinterested incompetent manager. I find it hillarious that you describe what Lowe is doing as "keeping us in business". Half the fan base has been alienated by p*ss-poor football, p*ss-poor results and getting rid of all our better players in the name of cost-cutting whilst inexplicably bringing in an entire brigade of "cheap" loans just because their age group is right. Do you really have no awareness of the fact that the loss in gate-revenue is STILL going to kill us ?
  20. Your point is ? Anyone can insert qualifications to try to make their insults seem respectable.
  21. You seem to be a complete wnaker. I read you as a complete dye-in-the-wool Lowe Luvvie.
  22. Let's hope its a significant loss if it has to be one (and it does in my opinion). A significant loss will push JP and Lowe closer to the exit than a minor loss.
  23. Calling someone "bitter" and accusing him of "sulking" is a critique of the article, is it ? Riiiiight...
  24. What a load of unadulterated bolllocks. This clubs financial problems started with RELEGATION and having Premiership expenses whilst being a CCC team. LOWE got us relegated. LOWE wasted one year of parachute payments on balancing books rather than a concerted attempt at getting "Re-promotion".
