  1. Considering how teams reduced to ten men often react defiantly to compensate for the loss of the player, especially if tinged with a sense of injustice, the second half performance sounds unremarkable to me. Though no doubt the supporters of the incumbent regime will try to turn it into something it isnt. Certainly the habitual 3- or 4-goal canings will resume against Reading. The important question to be answered is : why did we start the game so utterly shiiite YET AGAIN that our players were demoralised, and someone like Euell so under pressure that he made a stupid mistake ?
  2. Seems like the ref compensated one f**k-up with another..
  3. At least it gives your mates Lowe and JP an excuse for losing this one...
  4. SO now saints have to play 10 kids against 12 men (including the referee). Sweet. How come we never get the close calls at home like other teams do ? Why do refs seem to hate us ?
  5. No sticky match thread, and this ridiculous protest thread hasnt been locked. I appreciate the mods all have the right to go to the game, but this is the first time I can remember there being no mod available during the match. Are they all giving up on the club too ??
  6. 1. You did airbrush Lowe's role out in that post. 2. If Lowe had stayed in charge, what is happening now would have happened 18months earlier. Flog the decent players/high wager earners (though in this case to get the right results to pay dividends), push the kids, alienate fan base, administration 3.The "gamble" as you describe it failed, yes. I for one think it was worth the risk, especially if we had tried it a year earlier, been more ambitious and had kept the likes of Kevin Phillips. Oh, remind me, who ****ed all the players off with his 50% clauses ? Also, the "gamble" would have succeeded but for a cretinous drunk of a manager.
  7. Oh yes, it all started with Mike Wilde, didnt it ? Strange, I thought it was on Rupert Lowe's watch that we were relegated. Your portrayal of events is completely disingenous. I agree completely with TDDs initial post.
  8. Jesus, so even Lowe & co are expecting adminstration then. Or bringing it about.
  9. Is it not therefore reasonable to expect that the likes of Mike Wilde and W**ker Askham will turn on him before that happens then ? Since they will lose out ? And if they are included in the post-admin purchase too, has anything actually changed ? They will still be in control, they would have only got rid of Corbett, Trant, Lawrie Mac and Crouch, who cant must more than 20% between them anyway. If Lowe does mastermind a post-admin purchase, all it means is that bankruptcy is the next step a year down the line. The only chance this club has to survive is a takeover pre-admin, or post-admin by A.N. Other.
  10. The lawyers have been busy over the last couple of days, it seems... Another round to Lowe..
  11. To answer the OP: Because the financial situation is so much worse than expected, Lowe will be cashing him in far earlier (and for a lot less profit) than he planned. See ? Even the youth policy isnt working anymore. Everything Rupert "Reverse Midas" Lowe touches, turns to shiiit.
  12. Not when you are trying to flog anything that can vaguely control a ball and run 100m without breaking sweat, it isnt. It's embarassing. It's like an old past-it tom trying to get enough clients to keep herself supplied with smack.
  13. Spot on. Being saying this since the "first EGM that never was"
  14. At last. Someone with balls comes out and tells us what we've known for ages, but has remained untold. These comments dovetail with so much we already knew, such as Cliford and Woodward and the Mansfied Town match where Redknapp obviously decided to take Lowe down a peg or two. Though as we can now see, Lowe didnt learn a damn thing.
  15. I'm going to go for 17,000 +, seeing as we are playing a fellow Southern team on a Saturday afternoon and not Northern Monkeys mid-week, and because there is a good chance we have really turned a corner. I have a feeling this time....Though no doubt the club will have piissed all over it by 8pm Saturday night
  16. Its a crap idea, in my opinion. The only way it will work is if we put in a sudden good run before the Jan trasnfer window that encourages a few people to stump up cash prior to Lowe flogging the final family silver.
  17. Most of the time I cant be bothered anymore, sadly. It's not the negativity or the happy-clappyness per se. It's not the results It's not Lowe's return. Its simply the same people (including myself) saying the same things, responding in the same manner, preaching the same dogma on both sides, completely incapable of seeing the opposing view and knowing exactly how the opposition will respond. It's simply got boring as f**k. Almost as boring as Nick "Son of Rupert" Illingsworth's calls to support the team and moaning about a seat-on-the-board and arguments and bad-feeling about ticket allocations for the 2003 Cup final...... Oh, and it aint the money. Anyone who isnt willing to find one fiver per year to support this place is a Grade-A sad c**t who we can do without anyway.
  18. Maybe he is on appearance fees ???????? Here's a suggestion : Lowe has made it clear he will only pay one significant starting appearance fee per game, and at the moment Skacel is the priority ?
  19. Whether this is Mirror shiitt-stirring or not, it is indeed worth noting in the aftermath of Saturday's euphoric fight-back, that come Janurary elements of this sqaud are going to disappear and we may well be back to square one, whatever progress we may make between now and then...
  20. A really superb result that each and every Saints Fan will applaud. Our bogey team, and we came back from 2-0 down. This is the stuff of Saints of old... But just like the Arsenal final game at the Dell, I had a feeling it might happen after I saw Surman's equalliser flash up. This could be a huge turning point in the club's fortunes. We have been looking more balanced over the last few games as the stubborn dogma has given way to common sense gradually, and just look what happens when the defence (signing Pearce) is finally given some attention !! He looks like a superb loan deal ! However, up and down the heirarchy, from chairmen down to lowliest junior on the verge of the first team, has to recognise that the work is only just beginning, and that there is an awful lot left to do. I would have them in doing light training tomorrow, not given a couple of days off as reward. They should be given no time to get cokky or complaicent. However, Job Done lads, great result - let's build from it.
  21. We really need to win this. If we come away with a draw, there will be so much back-slapping amongst the players (and also the Luvvie fan community) without having won the points at least, and we will revert to being cokky and being tonked by the usual 3 goals in the next match...
  22. Ridiculous. The momentum should be with us. Playing for a draw is Always pathetic and hardly ever works.
  23. We get a third goal, it could really change our season.......
  24. Wow, me too ?
