Last time Leicester went out there they ended up racial abusing a Thai hooker and winning the Premier League, so fingers crossed we don't get a repeat next year.
-
I'd say it looks decent, probably my favourite of the three, although none of them is anything special.
-
Being realistic, we have three RBs you could argue are amongst the best in the league. It’s a luxury we neither need nor can afford, so if we get a sizeable chunk of £30m to spend on attacking players, I’ll take that.
-
He’s a perfectly decent one at this level, as are the two fullbacks. I’d probably want better than Stephens if it comes to it but none of them are disastrous, nor is Bazunu for that matter. Its in attack where we still have issues to sort out, especially regarding creativity.

Rain in the midlands and NW will deny both England and Hants a victory.

F**k me, after what happened yesterday we’ve now declared. 😆

Our kids were the best team in it, loved going to ODC games last year. Somehow we came unstuck against a 158 year old I’m the semi against Kent but overall it was a hell of a season. We’re a batter light in all formats, need a county opener and a 3 in the T20 IMO, but otherwise decent.
-
So… who put money on a healthy first innings lead when we were 88-7 yesterday?
-
All these precision missiles and they couldn’t stop a convoy of their own crappy tanks rolling towards Moscow.

I’m not sure anyone was ever in love with professional football because they found the players relatable. Why would you fall out of love with football because players are going to Saudi Arabia for obscene money, they’re already going to Manchester and London to earn double your annual salary in a week.
-
That’s the whole reason all these players came to the Premier League in the first place, they’re just swapping it for a little more money.
-
Well, bye I guess. A player so forgettable I genuinely thought he’d only been here two years instead of three.
-
Christ, not this again. The point has always been that they lack the ability to produce smart munitions in anywhere near the numbers they’d need to maintain a sustained offensive. Given that they spend most of their time buying drones from Iran and sporadically smacking them aimlessly into the middle of Kyiv and Dnipro, I’d say that argument holds weight. So they’ve attacked a port, big whoop, they’re doing a fraction of the damage we did to Hamburg with Lancasters, 80 years ago. This is a war of terror, they’re trying to give the illusion of force whilst really, tactically achieving very little.
-
If they have agreed to an obligation to buy there’s not really a way out of it and if they do try to renege they’ll likely face sanctions and transfer embargos. Plus there’ll be the fact that he’ll have signed a contract with them, valid for however many years. Loans with an obligation to buy seem fairly common, so I can only assume there’s some clever tax write off or FFP dodge involved, which makes it beneficial to one or both parties.

Sheffield Weds 1-2 Saints - Match Thread
Lighthouse replied to Yorkshire Saint's topic in The Saints
This is going to be such an easy win. Last time we went top of the league playing on Friday night it only lasted a day, as the rest of the weekend fixtures played out. This time our GD will keep us comfortably top come Sunday night. -
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-66242446 If anyone needed reminding that negotiating with Russia and coming to some sort of agreement is ultimately pointless, here it is. Whenever they feel like it they’ll decide Ukraine hasn’t met the terms of the agreement and attack them again.

Depends how far back you want to go. Beattie, Crouch, Saganowski….
-
They remember getting no-lube, butt-f**ked by PSG over a clause they thought nobody would pay for Neymar and henceforth made all their subsequent release fees (which are required by Spanish law) absurdly high.

Basically it’s like Tadic and Fonte all over again, where he’s found a new lease of life in a less intense, lower paced league. That doesn’t equate to him doing the business if he was still here. Of all the areas where we replaced players last summer, CM is probably the only area where there was a noticeable improvement. Good luck to him at Barca, I’m genuinely pleased as he seemed a top bloke, but let’s not rewrite too much history. In a couple of years we’ll probably be bottom half of the Championship, Elyounoussi will be playing well in the Europa League and people on here will be saying, “not good enough for Saints, too slow and predictable according to the experts on Saints web. 😂😂😂”

Maybe not in so many words but certain people seem to be deliberately ignoring the blindingly obvious in order to argue against every single piece of evidence they’re presented with. A record temperature at Heathrow or Conningsby is still a record temperature, it’s not like there weren’t any planes, tarmac or air con. Vents there ten years ago.

Climate change is all fake because aerodromes are marginally warmer than their surrounding areas; another fantastic arguments that’s as strong and airtight as an Oceangate Submarine.

Amazing. In 2016 the club were idiots for selling Mané ‘too early’ because if we’d waited we’d have triggered a massive bidding war and got an extra £20m. Now the club are idiots for not selling our best players quickly enough because we need to know how much money we have available and to have time to spend it accordingly.

Where has all this 'China are doing nothing and laughing at us' nonsense come from? Just in solar, they produce three times more than any other country, which ever if you take it down to a per captia ratio is still 50% more than the UK and above most other countries. https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/solar-electricity-per-capita

Clearly I’m in a minority of one on this, so I’ll leave it there. All I’ll say is don’t get your hopes up.
-
Because he’s up again much worse opposition. If you’d watched Kelvin in 2012/13 you’d have said he was hopeless, at fault for a lot of goals, terrible kicking, flapping at crosses and regularly beaten at his near post. What makes you think that kind of keeping would be adequate in the Championship?
