  1. Surely nobody who supports Saints can believe there is a god?
  2. I just hope he doesn’t drive to Leicester in the manner that he plays. He’ll stop at three service stations, make a wrong turn at Brackley, sit in the middle lane of the M1 doing 55 and arrive 20 minutes after the transfer window closes.
  3. I know, right! Who would have thought that the leader of the world's largest military and nuclear arsenal being an unhinged lunatic who wants to invade Greenland would get such coverage. I want to know what colour Ariana Grande is dying her muff for the Oscars.
  4. When he stops conceding goals Baz would have been slaughtered for I shall be most relieved. The good news is that a competent League 1 keeper would only have conceded four goals in the thirteen games Bazunu played for Tonda, so we’re now due eleven consecutive clean sheets, including last night.
  5. Basically this. Decent player to have at a Championship level but giving him a permanent deal (on deadline day IIRC) was a pretty good avatar for our rudderless recruitment in 2024.
  6. We won nine and drew two of his first eleven games back after injury.
  7. The jury's still out for me so far. Three of the four goals he's let in were pretty poor, and the rest of his games is... let's say erratic. Hopefully it's just a symptom of not having recent match experience and it'll come with time.
  8. Our third consecutive league double against the Blades, they’ve not taken a point off us since 2009.
  9. Shareholders at BUPA.
  10. It’s not in the top five, or even our best half against Sheff Utd but okay.
  11. Christ alive, have a day off. 😂
  12. Hoever really sucks.
  13. It looked to me like they both got a foot on it. I don’t think it gets given, even if Fellows goes down.
  14. Lovely move and Azaz has to bury that.
  15. Half of them seem to think Bournemouth vs Brighton is a south coast derby, when the actual distance between them is something akin to Southampton vs Coventry.
  16. I’ll take them as they come.
  17. We could only afford a pig iron band, their instruments would rust in this weather.
  18. I think it's slightly more nuanced that simply Europe expecting America to keep us safe. European underinvestment stems largely from a lack of perceived threat since 1991. There's simply been little appetite for big armies and expensive weapons when all we did for thirty years was blow up goats in Tora Bora. Until Mad Vlad flipped his lid, the rest of Europe was prioritising their own national infrastructure. Likewise Uncle Sam's relatively lavish defence spending is much less about having Europe's back and much more about waving their cock in China's face.
  19. It's okay, I went through the exact same thought process when Scarlett Johansson divorced Ryan Reynolds.
  20. Ben Mayes and Manny Lumsden playing for England U-19s on SS Main Event. I know it's only Scotland's kids but the former is on 122, almost exactly half of England's total so far.
  21. He can want to leave to his heart's content but he's under contract here and I can't imagine we're entertaining the idea of selling him until the summer. Selling him now would be madness and as much as people love to pretend SR are actually mad, they aren't.
  22. Except we're not. West Ham are staring relegation in the face having spent hundreds of millions on failed strikers over the last decade. Leicester spent £25m each on Daka and Iheanacho, who've struggle to average five goals a season in either the PL or the Champ. Half the people on this forum were fuming because we didn't pick up Danny Ings in summer, who was, "obviously proven PL quality, but that's not the SR way FFS!" Over half a season later, he's registered one goal against Norwich. Liverpool have just spent a quarter of a billion Euros on Isak and Wirtz, have they got five goals between them? That's after wasting about £80m on Darwin Nunez. Football is riddled with clubs who can't find a decent striker for love nor money. We've actually got one of the best in the Championship on the books already.
  23. Thus proving the point that it's really not that easy to sign a decent striker and more often than not they end up being a waste of money. It's not using a rationale, it's just the truth.
  24. I never said that, I said that if we don't bring one in it'll be because we couldn't get someone in who would improve us, within our budget. January is a notoriously poor time to do transfer business. As for Dykes... Christ if we signed a player who managed two goals in League 1 last year, that'd be a new low, even for us. I don't care if he's 7'13" he's crap.
  25. If we don't bring a forward in it'll because there's nobody decent available within our price range, not because everyone at the club has devout faith in the fitness credentials of Ross Stewart.
