  1. I reckon we’re about 4 days away from Saddam Hussein and Satan jumping up through a fissure in rural Colorado.
  2. Damn, that’s the one thing they’re desperately short of.
  3. If it’s defence you’re going for, I’d rather play with ten men than Sugawara.
  4. We can tell Donny this is real news.

    Ivan Juric

The flip side of that is that right now Juric is the fall guy who soaks up all the bullets. If we put Rusk in the firing line, there’s a risk he loses his authority and respect in the dressing room, should he preside over a couple of absolute humpings.
  6. Absolute nonsense to be comparing Trump to Chamberlain. He’s far more like Oswald Mosley.

    Ivan Juric

Yes, that is the point. So remind me again what the point of sacking him is? This is from the man who absolutely assured me that the new man would get 20 games/the end of the season when talking about sacking Martin earlier in the season, so I wouldn’t get too righteous about it.
  8. An interesting fact about Liverpool that few people realise is that Yul Brynner, who famously never wore any aftershave, used to be a huge fan. For anyone who is going to Anfield on Saturday, you might hear them sing, “Yul never wore Cologne!” In tribute to him.

I’ve no idea what anyone thinks sacking him will achieve, as if Rusk is going to turn things around. Juric might as well stay because well, what’s the point?
  10. China ready for ‘any kind of war’ with USA. Good start to Trumps second term, this. I’d say he could do with the Pope popping his clogs fairly soon to distract people from things for a while.
  11. Biden’s legacy will always be the man who put Mad Donny back in the White House. The fact that neither he nor any of his advisors seemed to think that an 82 year old standing for election was in any way a bad idea, until that car crash debate where he could bare string a sentence together, is every bit as ludicrous as the people who are in power now.
  12. I’d say Ipswich and Leicester have both had enough motivation all season and been pretty useless with it, I’m not seeing how Wolves suddenly becoming hopeless is going to improve either of them. Never said, implied or even thought the bit in bold but thanks anyway.
  13. We have 100 Typhoons in service and 35 F35s, with orders for over 100 of the latter. This is basic stuff you can find on Wikipedia but every time it’s pointed out to you, you just ignore it. Russia has nothing that capable and numbers of what it does have airworthy are questionable at best. They’re sending 50 year old Migs into combat with Garmin GPS’ that hikers buy from Amazon taped to their dashboard. Or navy and army are well trained, modern and well equipped. Our soldiers are professionals, not conscripts scraped together from Dagestan because they’re brown, Muslim, poor and Putin doesn’t want to upset the white middle classes.
  14. Egg, you’re taking far too many political statements as literal truth. All these European leaders saying we need America’s help to defeat Russia are quite clearly trying to put pressure on Uncle Sam to continue supporting Ukraine as they have historically been our strongest ally, the worlds largest economy and have a truly eye watering defence budget. If Russia was as strong as you’re making out, they’d have steamrollered all of Ukraine in a month, with or without western aid. They haven’t, they’re involved in a slow, grinding war of attrition, throwing North Korean troops and equipment into the meat blender.
  15. You're equating, yet again, the surplus and often outdated equipment the west has been supplying Ukraine, with the actual weapons we have in our combined arsenals. If things did actually get hot between Europe and Russia we would have total, unchallenged air superiority for starters.
  16. We'll only stuggle if we keep shopping for bargain, Championship quality players when we've been promoted to the PL, like we did this season. You're not going to attract the majority of players you need to stay up before you've actually been promoted. It's about bringing in the right players at the right time.
  17. It’s all just guess work at this stage as we have no idea who will actually stay and leave but a team of: Bazunu Bree THB Bednarek Welly Downes Charles Armstrong Aribo Fraser Archer Subs: McCarthy, Stephens, Edwards, Manning, Smallbone, Edozie, BBD, Sully, TP Is perfectly competent as a Championship side and that’s after selling all our best players and signing nobody.
  18. I don’t think anyone has ever claimed that any season will be ‘easy’ but a couple of cherry picked FA Cup ties have no bearing at all on next season.
  19. A team which is not Saints, Ipswich or Leicester, such as Wolves, could hypothetically stay up on 25 points this season. In other words our dreadful team from two years ago might actually turn out to be better than all three of the promoted clubs in this years PL. HTH.
  20. What an utterly depressing time for freedom and democracy this is. If you told me five years ago that not only would Russia invade Europe but that the US president would effectively be on Putin’s side and throw the victims under the bus, I’d never have believed you. How Americans can vote that pathetic man-baby into the White House I can’t fathom.
  21. I didn't mean we would need 25 points to stay up, I mean that will be somewhere around the cutoff this year as the team in 18th may well have fewer.
  22. I said on another thread; I honestly think our points total of 25 from two years ago might be enough to stay up this year. It'll be tight but Leicester or Ipswich need 9 points from 11 games and at the moment they both look incapable of that kind of form.
  23. Remember how sh*te we were two years ago? I’m fairly sure that points total would keep a team up this year.
  24. You quite obviously wouldn’t though, would you. It would bean absolute farce with massive financial and contractual penalties incurred.

Police say they’re not treating it as suspicious, so I assume that rules out him pulling a Hitler. Enemy of the State was a great film. RIP.
