Bragg has played about 85 minutes in the Championship in his entire career, Romeu is 34 and hasn't played since making 10 minute sub appearances in Spain last spring and Jander is a completely different type of player. We need Downes. I don't really get the criticism of him TBH. Far too many people moan about how we're always a team of, "noddy son in laws, who are too small and skinny and afraid to get stuck in and they're only here as part of a player trading algorithm and they go to Anfield and they lose 1435-0 and they applaud politely because it's such a priviledge for them to play there and our polite fans cheer and clap them off etc." Then when we actually have a midfielder who puts a few dirty tackles in and gets booked, he gets slated.

He’s certainly been playing like a man possessed under TE but let’s not pretend he hadn’t been putting in some ropey performances before that. At Derby in particular he acted like an absolute helmet.

They’re 9th in the table with a GD of -5, which for reference is worse than Blackburn in 18th. Whilst obviously points dictate the table overall, GD is probably a better measure of how a team is playing. They’ve certainly been on the wrong end of some pretty crap defeats.

TBH I’m supporting Coventry in every game they play. Them thumping everyone they play, except us obviously, is in our best interests. They can run away with the league, I don’t care, but tonight they did us a big favour in keeping second place within reach.
