  1. TBF he can probably hit them better/harder than any of the players Ramsdale usually trains against.
  2. Might have something to do with being 3-0 down after 14 minutes against Spurs, playing four at the back, because our defenders are so sh*t at this level. It seems like all three managers are, perhaps rightly, setting us up primarily to not get spanked.
  3. 34-5 collapse in the middle order. Oh well, fun while it lasted.
  4. This is more like our usual trip to the Oval. From 84-1 to 90-4. Albert chewing up 27 balls before getting out for 1.
  5. Almost as bad as, ‘I could care less’.
  6. Have to say I prefer red ball Wheal to white ball Wheal.
  7. Looks a lot like one of the shirts we played in under Burley, c.2007. Or at least it did initially, after a couple of washes it was white T-shirt with some streaks of red and plastic flakes of what was once a flybe logo.

Looks like the three day military operation which Trump promised to end in a day is going to keep running. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c89gpg4jpllt
  9. The bad news is our ‘play like Real Madrid’ strategy might not work against Arsenal, on the last day.
  10. If I was forced to bet my own money on the last seven games, I’d say we’ll pickup a point at Leicester and that’s it. We don’t have the players to pick up ‘a few results’ and Rusk has never managed above the National League.
  11. Clearly you’re not down with the kids, so allow me to fill you in. Supposedly old fashioned names are now making a post-millennial, pseudo-ironic comeback. It all started with former Everton keeper, Rob Les. in 2041 we’re going to win the U21s league with Iain Perkins, Graham Watts and Keith Brown.
  12. Other than the fact that we own his contract and we’re likely to be playing much higher up the league than QPR next season? He was never going to do anything other than struggle here this season, if he got on the pitch at all. Amongst all the awful transfer decisions we’ve made this season, I can’t see why anyone would have a problem with loaning our RE.
  13. As far as I can tell, most fans seem to respect us for still turning up and getting behind our team, in spite of everything. People start laughing at us when fans start running onto the pitch, throwing their STs at players etc.

He should never have been in charge of recruitment at all. The fact that we let a man who has only ever managed at Championship level conduct our transfer deals just shows how badly organised we are/were in that department. Saying what he should and shouldn’t have done is beside the point, it should never have been him making the decisions.
  15. I think if an alien spaceship landed on this planet and they asked me to explain Tottenham Hotspur, this is the picture I’d show them.
  16. 😆 Every single one of the players you’re annoyed at, we have literally phoned up and said, "we want to pay you £xxx to play for us in the PL." You have a very strange idea of stealing. It’s the clubs fault, not the players, aim your vitriol at the directors box if you must. Nobody is asking you to kiss anyone’s arse either, you’ve made that up for dramatic effect.

Saints are now on their third manager since Leicester last scored at home. Not won, scored.
  18. Why on earth would he come here now and be tainted with this absolute sh*t show that’s not of his making and he can do nothing to change. There’s no point ‘assessing the squad’ as a reasonable number of them won’t be around next season. Plus I hope recruitment is being conducted mostly above his head anyway. I’d like to think they have open and honest discussions about the attributes of players needed for his system and then a dedicated recruitment team goes out and finds them. Managers signing players they know and like leads to the utterly laughable situation of a PL club signing Nathan Wood.
  19. Nor at home since 8th December, I think.
  20. The stoppable force meets the moveable object.
  21. Have you actually read any of these posts, or just seen the word ‘Koeman’ and decided to correct a point nobody was making?
  22. Koeman would obviously be one of the most high calibre managers in the Championship (hypothetically, it’s a completely moot point). I was referring specifically to the PL when I posted that, if I’m honest. Generally speaking I wouldn’t go back to managers the same as I wouldn’t go back to ex. Players (see Walcott and Lallana)
  23. Surely we can come up with some amusing garbage based songs for this? "Worse than your bin men, our team is worse than your bin men" etc.
  24. All that really shows is that appointing a manager based on achievements from ten or more years ago isn’t really the best idea. In much the same way I wouldn’t want Adkins or Koeman back now. I don’t have a particular candidate in mind as I don’t really watch enough foreign and lower league football. Rohl sort of feels like he’d be a good fit and I’m almost certain he’d want to come here but then I’ve really not seen much of Wednesday to get a glowing endorsement.
