  1. Out Ings - assuming he won’t sign his deal, he’ll probably end up at Spurs or Leicester. Bertrand - his contract is up. Maybe he’ll sign a deal with someone closer to home in London. Long - it looks like the penny may finally have dropped that he isn’t a Premier League player. Forster - think he’ll see out his final year on loan somewhere Hoedt - one more year somewhere, not that anyone cares Lemina - Wouldn’t mind Fulham staying up so that they keep him. Valery - I don’t think he has a future here. Elyounoussi - Probably another loan Ive no idea who we’re bringing in obviously but hopefully not Walcott. He’s 32 and really hasn’t been all that for the wages he’s on. Wouldn’t mind Minamino, permanently as a replacement for Ings if we can come to an arrangement with Liverpool - assuming he does enough in the remainder of the season to impress our coaches. We’d need one more attacking player, a LB and someone versatile who can play both fullback slots. Either that or a Telfer/Tessem type who can cover fullback and play further forwards.
  2. Everyone remembers Dia but I’m pretty sure we’ve done it with Bleidelis and Folly too.
  3. I’d take Mina scoring two in three and ‘not being on the same wavelength’ over Long scoring two per season and being ‘a great lad in the dressing room’ any time. People were convinced Boufal hadn’t been given a fair chance after four years, I won’t be passing judgement on TM for a while yet.
  4. Burnley making a right hash of playing an hour at home to 10 man West Brom. Glad to see it’s not just us.
  5. Who’s Amy?
  6. All part of the ploy to get him cheap in summer. He’ll replace Ings and get 30 goals for the next two seasons.
  7. That ‘handball’ was further up Brownhill’s arm than some goals we’ve had disallowed for ‘offside’.
  8. We don’t have any. We drift around in mid-table, like a hovercraft.
  9. Bednarek has been competent for us but never really anything more. A couple of brilliant games here and there and a couple of stinkers. I can’t say I’d be upset to lose him from the XI.
  10. Tuesday evening kick off. First league meeting since that Kelvin performance. COYS!
  11. Desperately need to find a win and three draws from somewhere in our next 14 games.
  12. Can't argue with that, decent point.
  13. What minute are we going for in the inevitable Chelsea winner sweepstake? I'll say 90'+2.
  14. Given that both have been going on continuously for months and there’s no reason to link them - no it isn’t fascinating.
  15. You’ve got me there, I can’t argue against that.
  16. Nah, I saw Fulham equalise at OT in injury time once, having played most of the game with 11 in their own six yard box.
  17. More importantly, Andreja Slokar is now leading for Slovenia.
  18. I’m watching women’s Alpine skiing on Eurosport instead. I think I’ll support Slovenia, just for giggles.
  19. We’ve got months, possibly years if this to look forward too. The viruses will mutate, we will come up with vaccines for the deadlier and more infectious variants and eventually we’ll end up with something benign that nobody is really bothered about.
  20. That would be my guess too. If we were playing with four at the back, I’d expect Stephens to be in there.
  21. I thought he’d deleted his Twitter account, although I have to admit I stopped following him a long while ago. Is he still a Covid denying helmet on there or has he seen sense?
  22. All that would prove is that they can beat Sheff Utd and we’re not as good as Chelsea. Big whoop. That leaves us with a 3 win head-start on a team which had score 4 wins all season. Fulham will struggle to 32-35 points whilst we will probably be in the mid-forties somewhere.
  23. Sadly, I think that was always the motivation for a section of society.
  24. Missed a trick with the thread title, should have gone with, ‘The Only Way is Ethics’. Personally I’ll take the ethical option when possible but it’s such a minefield and it’s very easy to be a hypocrite. Dubai for example; yes Sheikh Al Maktoum seems like a helmet to us but UAE is a relatively civilised country in that region. I’d certainly rather go there for some early/late season sun than Yemen, Iran, Saudi, Pakistan or Syria. Same with businesses, I’ll generally try to avoid Amazon but the manufacturer I’m buying from may not necessarily be more ethical themselves. I tend to end up in Costa if I want a quick coffee.
  25. Lockdown in NI extended until 1st April which seems a bit mental if I’m being honest. Deaths and admissions are now around 1/4 the levels they were at the peak a month ago so another six weeks like this seems a little draconian.
