Which is why it’s imperative for everyone to get vaccinated when they can and why the, "if I don’t want to get vaccinated it’s my choice, I’m not harming anyone else," argument is complete bo**ocks. Fingers crossed these vaccines can be adapted and distributed quicker than the virus strains can mutate.

Could be worse, on MotD after this fixture last season they literally didn’t mention Saints in their ‘analysis’. It was just five minutes of the pundits going on about how amazing the team spirit is and what it’s like to be in that Liverpool dressing room.

This argument has been done to death but Adkins did basically win League 1. In his tenure here he outscored everyone else in that league; it wasn't his fault Brighton basically had a 5 point head start, or whatever it was. Our form in that run in with Huddersfield was just insane. 13 wins out of 15 or something. We missed out on the Championship title by 1 point, with a massively better GD. It's not as if we were way off. If the ref had the balls to give a Boro defender a cast iron red card in the penultimate game, we'd have won that too.

Don't get me wrong, I love him as a player and we're definitely better with him in the side. I just recall there have been a few instances of what Sheaf mentioned.

Wolves away and Bournemouth at home (3-3) the year before he was guilty of something similar... I think.

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
Lighthouse replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Three clean sheets since he’s been injured. Clearly holding us back. -
I'm not sure you'd pass many verbal reasoning tests at a job interview. At the risk of sounding a bit MLG; soggy said it was the biggest threat since WW2, you responded, "if you discount AIDS etc." You're implying that it was a bigger/equal threat but it wasn't/isn't even close. The BIB smells a bit of 'keep digging'. No it couldn't. I could go to Tesco, even in 1985 pre-ART drugs, with 1,000 AIDS ridden people, shake hands, give them a hug, stand next to them for an hour and not catch anything. Even during the Rwandan genocide, when AIDS infected rape was used as a deliberate weapon of war, we never saw anything close to this.

On tonight's showing, he looks like the player Lemina thinks he is.

Would be nice to progress but I’d give a few players a rest. For me: Forster; KWP, Stephens, Salisu, Vokins; Diallo, Smallbone; Valery Walcott, N’Lundulu, Tella *Since we’re so hit and miss with starting/locking these threads, we’ll try one build up/match/reaction thread to cover it all.

Made some good gains on Everton, Leicester, West Ham and Leeds in the battle to win the ‘trendy’ league this season.

Get. Fucking. In!!

You f**king punched that you clown?!

Having said that, he’s been brilliant in the three minutes he’s been on. 😆
-
Yan f**king Valery?!

Nope. ’84 and ‘90+3.

He’ll get subbed off now and replaced by Shaqiri, who will change the game for them and score the winner.

'One way traffic' doesn't do the last 10 mins justice.

A two week nationwide lockdown in the run up to Xmas and we’d have been in a much better position but instead they did nothing. We might even have gotten away with that 5 day Covid holiday they were on about. Instead Boris was too scared of being the Scrooge who cancelled Christmas and now we’re sat here with this stupid regional tier system. As if the new strain was ever going to stay in London and Kent and the rest of the country would be fine. Now it’ll be March at least before we see the back end of whatever he’s got planned for this evening.

Was AIDS really killing 500+ per day in the UK alone? Wow.
-
And lose 6-0 instead of 3-1? No thanks.

The fact that you can't relate to it doesn't make it bizarre and no, I haven't had a sh*t life. Far from it IMO. Having your A levels messed around, whilst no doubt stressful, is pretty routine stuff. If nothing that bad has ever happened to you, then you're extremely fortunate.

Life is unfair. When they leave school they are going to put their hearts and souls into all sorts of careers and other projects, only to see them completely collapse through no fault of their own and come away with nothing. If this is the worst thing that ever happens to them, they'll have had a much better life than me or many other people I know. No you're right, I don't. That's the best suggestion I can come up with. Given that the current plan is sending everyone back to school and killing a few hundred extra people, I think my 'clueless' idea is slightly better.

Well... it’s not though is it. We’re talking about a couple of months, which will have to be taken into account when writing exams. We will just have to test them on what they have been taught this year.

Sounds like a pretty good life lesson to me.

We aren’t cancelling their entire education, we’re talking about a break of a couple of months to help control a global pandemic.
