I like how you’re actually debating the story of Noah’s Ark, as if it were in any way possible for an old man to round up a breeding pair of every animal (I think there are about half a million known beetles alone). Even the Christians I know don’t really believe that bit.

We don’t know. We just have very strong evidence, based on red shift and the Doppler effect, that it happened about 14 billion years ago.
-
There is very strong evidence for the Big Bang and absolutely none of a divine creator.

Just because people believe in them, doesn’t add any truth to them at all. If 4 billion people believed in Gavin, the giant orange space bat, it wouldn’t make it any more true. Churches and mosques are full because of fear and indoctrination, not because the people there have put any thought into their beliefs.

I’ve highlighted a few words that you could have considered omitting.

You can't hate something you don't believe in. You can hate religion but not a god.

Still haven't explained how Reed forced Fonte out of the club.

Religion is able to ignore all the basic, proven fundamentals of the laws of science and logic. I think they can manage to ignore your question too.

Yes, your point being?

I'd disagree there. We had plenty of experience in the likes of Virgil, Yoshida, Bertrand and Cedric after Fonte left. There is no magic formula he could have passed on, the players we recruited were simply not good enough. I think had he stayed and played, we'd have create another 04/05 situation with Lundekvam playing along side Davenport, Kenton and Higgy. Those players never looked like they were benefiting from Claus' experience. He looked past it and off the pace, the others just were never good enough. I've still yet to see one person explain how that's possible.

Hardly. He really wasn't great at West Ham and he'd never be playing like he does now in the Premier League aged 36. Much the same as when Tadic left, he'd never have scored 30 goals a season if he'd stayed. Because he was 33, which is too old to be playing every game. The League was our priority so he played that, whilst others got a run out in Europe.

Has anyone else had the new rectal swab test? Some guy knocked on the front door, said he was from the government. I should have the results in 2-3 days.

I still prefer Worms Armageddon personally.

According to who?

I’ve never liked cup replays anyway. Every couple of years you’ll get some League 2 high flyer earn a second go at Chelsea or Man Utd’s reserves but for the other hundred and whatever clubs they’re just a pain in the backside. Every cup tie should be 90 mins, then penalties. Extra time is a load of b*llocks too.

Seems relatively sensible to me. Restaurants are very high risk as anyone with the virus is likely to project aerosols onto other people’s food, just through normal breathing. This seems like a fairly good way to reduce that risk, much like a sneeze guard in any half decent canteen.

Really? Hasn’t worked with anything I’ve been sh*gging.

Those dolls seem to have understood social distancing far better than half the muppets in this country. I suppose when your mouth’s open all the time you’re more likely to catch Covid 19.

Obviously you can't not include politics in a topic like this but discussions about Brown and Labour budgets from 10 years ago are a bit of a stretch and not particularly interesting. By all means carry on the debate on the numerous Lounge threads, like this one https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?54675-All-things-Labour-Party#.XsG9f2hKiUk

As a player, I rate Hoedt slightly higher than Stephens, who as far as Saints is concerned is the lesser of six evils. With hindsight and going purely by their respective abilities, Vest was a pointless signing. Basically, Hoedt apparently being a complete helmet has cost the club £17m. Oh well.

Okay, so what exactly does this 'spreading rumours' entail which is so difficult for a player to live with? Fonte, his family and friends would obviously stick by him and not believe such 'rumours'. Probably most of the dressing room too, not that they'd care as they've all got their own agents badgering for better deals themselves. If he's not worried about paper talk and social media then who does that leave? Who is out there, believing all of Reed's scandalous lies and making Fonte's life so difficult that he was forced to leave the club?
-
So you're saying he uprooted his life and moved away from the club and the area against his will AND took a pay cut, because a couple of Echo articles and internet weirdos were saying he was aggravating for a new contract? If that's true I mean genuinely, wow! Everyone thought Les was a bumbling idiot and here he is running the club like some sort of Mafiosi, driving his enemies out of town with the Twitter equivalent of a horses head in the bed. I wish he was still here. He could say Carillo supports Pompey, Lemina eats raw bats and Elyonoussi was responsible for the Bhopal chemical disaster. They'd be gone within a week. Look, I liked Fonte as a player and a captain and I'm certainly no fan of Reed but his versions of events don't add up; and they are differing versions. He said at the time he/his family wanted to be nearer other family in London. Now he's saying he didn't want to leave and was forced out. Those two stories are mutually exclusive.

Have you ever been to Luton? They were doing the world a massive favour, trust me.
