  1. Interestingly, we’re level on points with Spurs who are as long as 1000 with some companies.
  2. Jeez, never saw that coming.
  3. I need a lie down, I’ve come over all hot and bothered.
  4. Has to be fairly strong to get rid of all the duck sh*t.
  5. If you really can't see the difference between, "We will/have to do something," and "we will sign three defenders in January," then I can't help YOU. I don't need help, thank you very much. I've seen enough bullsh*t promises from politicians to know that article was an open ended promise from day one. I never believed we'd sign three defenders then, I don't believe it now and more fool anyone who did. I'm not some gullible mug who believes everything the club tells me, quite the opposite. I pretty much ignore what's in the press and on twitter. How frequently I attend games and therefore hand over my money depends on what we're doing on the pitch. If we sign nobody in January, then the club will live and die by their actions. If we start shipping 4 goals in every home game again, I'll stop going. Over and out.
  6. So no actually promises of signing again then. I don't see how this is so hard to understand. It's politics 101, vague ambiguous statements which set readers off down a path and let them jog along to their own conclusions. Neither the club nor the Telegraph have explicitly said, "Saints will sign three defenders in January."
  7. Yep, I saw exactly what they said. They will address it, just means, "we'll have a look and see." Might mean a signing, might be a loan, might be a current player improving and stepping up.
  8. Two things there. 1) I'm not doubting for a moment we feed 'information' to the Telegraph but that doesn't mean that they don't a) Come up with their own stories and rumours without reference to the club or b) Sex up the 'news' we do feed them with some extra details to sell papers. 2) The stories about 'looking to strengthen... full back and CB are a priority' are deliberately vague and ambiguous. It's just like that Brexit bus. It gives two related pieces of information and allows readers to jump to their own fanciful conclusions. I've yet to see any statement from Saints or the Telegraph saying, "We will sign two full backs and a CB in January."

    Che Adams

I was only responding to the point put forward but it's not really relevant to Adams. I'd keep Adams and Djenepo, get rid of Long and Boufal in summer and then possibly look at Bowen with the wages it frees up. He wouldn't even make our bench.
  10. He will be 31 when next season starts, we're going to have to spend money bringing in a replacement sooner or later, whether Leicester buy him or not. If he doesn't want to sign an extension I can't see that we wouldn't sell.
  11. Okay, I’ll take it as a given that the Telegraph article was 100% what the club told them and hasn’t been sexed up by a journalist but they haven’t said they are bringing in three players. Just that full back and CB needed addressing. I can’t imagine we’ll see a CB with JS/JB playing well now and 3 others not getting a game already. By all accounts we’re after full backs, so I’ll see what happens before I get too upset.
  12. When was it said there were three players inbound? All I can recall is Ralph before Xmas saying hello wanted to bring in two players.

    Che Adams

He's scored 17 goals in half a season in the Championship. I'd keep Adams, if that was the choice on the table, but I'd swap him for Boufal in a heartbeat.

    Che Adams

Not for me. We have several options for creativity already and only Ings actually banging them in.

    Che Adams

    He's from Leicester, not Peru.
  16. It could be that the club thinks we wont sell out our bit, so they gave Spurs a few more.
  17. Probably because it’s sh*te.
  18. There run in is horrendous though. In their last ten games they've got Liverpool, Leicester, Spurs, United and City, plus Wolves and Everton away. That leaves them needing major points from home games against Palace, Newcastle and ourselves.
  19. I agree, by far the most hilarious option.

    Che Adams

I'm not sure the Premier League's top scorers, 33 year old Vardy, 30 year old Aubameyang and 31 year old Aguero, would agree with that.

    Che Adams

This doesn't make any sense for either the club or Adams, I'd be massively surprised. Okay so he hasn't done it yet, what did we think we were getting for £15m? He's just come up from the Championship, into a team which has struggled up until a month ago. He needs time and confidence. What on Earth is selling him for a loss after 6 months supposed to achieve? What other goal scorer are we getting for £15m? Perhaps we can stick the £10m on a 4-1 horse, then we'd have enough to buy a guaranteed goal scorer like Sebastian Haller or Cenk Tosun. Why would Adams go there, so he can dream of playing in the Premier League next season?
  22. Offside - Yes. Handball - No The handball rule is fine, people just need to get used to it. If we had conceded the injury time equaliser which West Ham had disallowed, we'd all be fuming about the handball in the build up.
  23. Oh Christ, not that idiot again. He doesn’t know anything, he just rehashes a bunch of rumours we’ve all seen else where with some fake pseudo-insight like, "the player is keen, the agent is negotiating over XYZ."
