  1. I was thinking that too.
  2. Dear God almighty, hallelujah!
  3. Which is made even worse by the fact that the goals were skewed by a handful of high scoring games against crap teams. 3 goals against Leicester, Palace, Burnley, Bournemouth, West Ham and 4 against Watford and Sunderland. That leaves 18 goals in the other 31 games.
  4. How far in advance did this use to be decided? Curious as, for example in 2003 we played at Villa Park and the Arsenal/Sheff Utd game was at Old Trafford. Supposing Villa had drawn Man Utd, would another ground have been chosen?
  5. I assume that's the game he is referring to, although how winning it would have given us another 11 points I'm not sure.
  6. Because we've put ourselves in a position whereby that one moment is life or death and it's completely our fault. It's like drink driving down a country road at 100mph in the dark, then having a massive fatal accident and saying, "oh if only that fox hadn't run out and distracted me on that bend." I can't be aggravated by it because it's one fleeting moment in a season of sh*te, it's almost irrelevant to the bigger picture. You could also say Zabaleta's push on Yoshida was pretty soft for a penalty and that's 2 points lost against West Ham.
  7. That's one of those one off freak events which happens. Annoying at the time but you can't really complain when talking about our position in the table.
  8. Great set of results IMO, that Palace result will be another big kick in the 'nads for Huddersfield. Huddersfield - 8th defeat in 11 league games. Stoke - 1 win in 3 months (against 'Udders) West Brom - Basically gone
  9. Every West Ham team is a weakened side.
  10. 6 points from Puel's last 8 games, also 6 blanks in front of goal. We really weren't doing any better than we are now at the end of his tenure.
  11. As far as I am aware, he has never done anything inhumane to small rodents.
  12. Can't understand any fans wanting to go at all TBH. We all saw the chaos they caused in France, imagine what they'll do in their own back yard with all the proper nutters who couldn't travel last time.
  13. I'd go with the usual back 5, then: Lemina - Hojbjerg Sims - Gabbi - Tadic Obafemi 2 strikers, 2 young lads with pace and confidence. Let's see where that gets us.
  14. He was. The fact that he has proved inadequate due to injuries is a different matter. With Austin, Long, Jay Rod, Tadic, Redmond, Boufal, Davis, JWP and Sims all fighting over 4 places, we had enough players. It’s the quality of them which is the problem.
  15. Can’t help but have that Bristol Rovers cup game in my head, the one when Lambert scored against us.
  16. For me, things were going reasonably well for Reed until the 2017 January transfer window. Puel, at the time, seemed like a reasonable appointment. Boufal, Hojbjerg and Austin seemed like decent replacements for Mané, Wanyama and Pellè. As the season wore on things didn’t quite go to plan but I don’t blame Les for sticking with CP when we had a cup final and were in no real danger of going down. What really smacked of incompetence was selling Fonte without any kind of replacement and the subsequent Caceres saga. Since then it has become apparent his long term replacement is in fact Stephens. A very average, cheap as chips academy player. The epitome of Lowe-esq false economy.
  17. He’s a mediocre player being terribly utilised.
  18. Don’t be daft. Everyone knows the Hare Krishnas are obsessed with internet trolling.
  19. Obvious troll is incredibly obvious... But still gets bites.
  20. Corrected some more.
  21. Pardew had us 2nd bottom of League 1 (even without -10) with a stronger team than that.
  22. I’d have thought they’d be more interested in flinging it at their own players/staff/owners these days. Perhaps we should all bring a pint or two along to chuck at the players, or perhaps even a pitcher and some plastic cups to share around.
  23. Doesn’t necessarily mean he is wrong in either instance. Changing your mind doesn’t make you wrong. Not changing your mind when presented with overwhelming evidence to the contrary makes you wrong.
  24. I honestly think we should all vote Jordie Clasie as a protest.
  25. 2 fundamental errors here. 1. You seem to be assuming that a club 8th in the premier league is worth exactly the same as one bottom half of the championship, minus the £75m for Virgil. He wouldn’t even get half of £125m when he try’s to ‘walk away from the club’. 2. You seem to think GAO got every penny of the £75m into his personal account, up front, no questions asked. For a start 20% of the club is still Kat’s. Celtic get a big chunk, £10-15m was quoted, not to mention the various other fees involved in trading a player. Actually three fundamental errors, your also assuming there are no laws against what is essential fraud, money laundering and doing a runner from a company which is essentially bankrupt with hundreds of millions in embezzled cash.
