That's one of those places I've always imagined as being ruined by fat, gobby American tourists wearing sandals with socks TBH. -

I think my favourite cities are San Diego, Stockholm, Tallinn and Riga. Oslo and Copenhagen are good too, although the former especially is pretty expensive. Annecy in France is gorgeous. Was in Lodz recently, which is one of the less touristy Polish cities. Not much to do other than drink but for some that's enough. Went to Jeddah even more recently. The old town had a certain charm and the street vendors were less forceful than those in other places, like Egypt. The Grand Canyon is pretty spectacular and some of the surrounding areas, like Flagstaff and Sedona are nice too. -
I would hope the board aren't deluded enough to think this but as you say, they did it with Stephens, so you could well be right. If Les thinks that a defence of Cedric, Hoot, Stephens and Targett will so anything other than battle relegation next season (even assuming we did stay up this year) then lord help us.

I'd agree with this and it seems to fit our transfer model. It'll mainly be a mixed of up and coming players who wont get a look in at big clubs (Bertrand, Hojbjerg, Romeu, Lemina) and promising players who aren't ready yet, from foreign leagues (Virgil, Mané, Boufal). As for outs, I'd sell Forster, Davis, Long, Austin, Boufal, Carrillo and Clasie.

It doesn't have to be two up top, old school Mike Bassett style but at least one of the three in behind the main striker has to be in the mindset of getting into the box and having a pop. When we had Lambert, it was Jay Rod. When we had Pelle it was Mané. Now we could have Austin and Gabbi, or even Gabbi and Sims.

My girlfriend is Polish, says the country is full of Ukrainians looking for work. Gives you an idea of how desperate many of them are. In other Georgian/Ukrainian news, did anyone else see this video a few days ago?

Our best 3 signings since returning to the premier league

It wasn't overshadowed, Pelle's goal was better. -

Depends if we're talking the best or most important to us, as there seems to be a bit of overlap here. The best: 1. Aderweireld - Absolute class from start to finish. Gutted it was only a loan, could we really have had him and Virgil if he had stayed? 2. Virgil - Absolute beast. Pace, strength, technique and ( until he got Vardy'd) incredible fitness. 3. Mané - Unplayable on his day, ripped some top teams apart but too many lazy/it's too cold days IMO. The most important: 1. Boruc - We'd never have stayed up with Kelvin or Gazza in goal. 2. Davis - Added some key experience, leadership and bravery which helped keep us up and has been a fantastic long term servant. 3. Lovren - Such a massive improvement on our leaky defenders at the time and signaled a move from relegation fighters to top half perennials. -
Two games against Chelsea, which is more important?

Nope, I would want the board to have learned from their mistakes, sell a bunch of players such as Davis, Long, Austin, Carrillo, Boufal and Clasie, then reinvest the money (plus that from Van Dijk) wisely in some decent players and a long term manager. If we go down, players like Carrillo will be way above our station. Think about that for a while. -
It was one brutal political ideology defending itself against an opposing brutal ideology, which had attacked first. We happened to be on the side of one and not the other. Neither were right.

Probably not. The point here is that his gender doesn’t play any part in it but that is how the issue is being portrayed. What’s really going on is that McEnroe’s agent/manager has managed to convince the BBC he’s good television and worth tuning in for, more convincingly than Navratilova’s agent. To put an even stupider outlook on things; it would be like saying Everton pay Rooney more than Oumar Niasse, therefor the Everton boardroom must be full of racists.
-
This fictitious pay gap and the constant media stories are really starting to get on my tits. The latest BBC report has McEnroe apparently being paid more than Navratilova, as if gender is anything to do with that. Has anyone got any experience of any job where men and women are paid differing amounts for exactly the same role?

League. We're in for some pretty painful football if we go down next season IMO. -
I think 'Carroll is an injury doubt' comes pre-printed on their press releases.
-
I'd go along with that, having watched today's game. Gabbi seemed to be playing well off the shoulder of the last man but there was a bit of space in between the 2 strikers and the 2 CM, which would have suited Sims IMO.
-
Reminds me of the Scousers booing Patrice Evra. You know, for having the sheer audacity to be racially abused by a Liverpool player.
-
I'd prefer: 1. Leicester - They really haven't been great under Puel. Since that 1-4 game, 3 months ago, they've only beaten Watford, West Brom and Udders in the League. It's not like we're any better but they are quite obviously the next weakest team in it. 2. Chelsea - Highly inconsistent this year. 3. Man Utd - I know they lost to Seville but they've been getting results apart from that. 4. Spurs. If Kane is fit. If not, Utd would be my last choice.
-
You can hear the heartbreak in the ‘tators voices.
-
Hojbjerg and Cédric? What is this madness?
-
Sims for Carrillo please.
-
FFS! Knew it
-
Carrillo has attributes?
-
Looks like some of the turnips they're growing are catching us out a bit.
-
It's the weirdest feeling - I actually want to watch this game.

In a season that's not particularly impressive, even for a club our size. We had 10 games where we scored 3 or more the season before but they were backed up by other impressive results like beating Spurs and Utd away. What I'm saying is 80% of our football under Puel was torturous crap. As in, a goal every other game crap.
