  1. In the 8 cup games Yoshida has played in, we conceded as many goals as we did with Fonte against Palace. Not exactly an endorsement for change IMO.
  2. Whatever people's thoughts on the Israeli government, I don't see any need to start protesting against fans at a football game. It's not going to achieve anything other than antagonising normal, everyday people who probably have very little interest in politics. In extreme cases, such as Apartheid South Africa then yes we should boycott but not for this. We're just going to end up looking ignorant and silly, trying to start a confrontation over politics we know little about.
  3. It's not really the point. The point is that he's not good enough and too old for Man Utd.
  4. Putting my opinion aside, he is a very distant second behind Virgil. He's aging, hasn't played especially well this season (not least at Old Trafford) and not a signing Mourinho and Man Utd will be aspiring too.
  5. This season I would disagree.
  6. So you're theory is that Man Utd, a club who seemingly aren't that bothered about the Europa at all, who spent a world record fee on Pogba and world record wages on Zlatan, now want to sign the 33 year old, 3rd best centre half at a midtable club. However; this deal is dependent on Fonte being available for said European games they don't give a sh*t about, indicating they aren't that bothered about playing him in the league. We're also agreeing to deliberately weaken our team (Using your logic that he should be playing every game, I don't agree with this personally) in Europe, simply to make Man Utd happy because we like bending over and being shafted by bigger clubs. What part of all that makes sense?
  7. How often do we, or any team for that matter, throw on a substitute centre half, not including injuries? Fonte plays League games, Yoshi plays Cup. We're rotating the squad, same as every other position. I don't know why people are expecting our oldest outfield player not to be rotated.
  8. True, you can't say we never gave him a chance here. In 4 years he did bugger all except for a couple of decent games against Villa and Newcastle. Didn't make much impact at Hull either.
  9. We aren't losing either of them, in January at least.
  10. Selling him in January wouldn't make sense on any level TBH. He's at an age now where I'm not really sure who would want to buy him either.
  11. You mean like coming from behind to beat Inter Milan? If only we could do that.
  12. I'm hoping Boufal being subbed off against Palace was a hint at a start for this one. I'd like to start him, Tadic and Austin.
  13. Not sure how bored you'd have to be to want to degrade yourself on national tv like that. Personally I'd take up chess or golf, rather than have 5 million people watch me eat a kangaroo anus but each to their own I guess.
  14. I don't but some people genuinely believe Utd have already agreed to sign the 33 year old, 3rd best CB at a mid table club.
  15. Thankfully he has already agreed to sign for Man Utd.
  16. When we signed him I thought he was a decent replacement for Juanmi, which isn't exactly hard. Problem is he is starting every league game, rather than being a bench option. Hopefully when Boufal, Long, Tadic and possibly J Rod are fitter, we will see less of him.
  17. Austin might. Hopefully the others will run about a bit.
  18. I do wonder how somebody who was on the books at Chelsea and Man City ended up doing this for money.
  19. Perhaps worth pointing out that we did beat Liverpool over 2 legs last season, in the league at least. Having said that, they've bought the player who scored 3 of the 4 goals for us and the other is in China.
  20. I think a certain somebody who claims to be based in a certain Scottish city maybe be bored with a certain account based around a certain meth cooking TV character.
  21. I thought that but.... 1. They may well be missing Mané and PC. 2. As good as their first 11 is, they lack the depth of Utd 3. They look much more likely title contenders and may be focussed on their tough league games either side. 4. Mourinho will be desperate to win something this season and a Cup semi will probably be a high priority
  22. Arsenals second defeat in all competitions in the last 8 months.
  23. Bugger, oh well. Home leg first too.
  24. TBF, if ever a City needed praying for...
