  1. Went on the OS to buy tickets and they wanted £42 each and they're not even in a prime location. For a meaningless game against Stoke, they can f**k right off.
  2. 8th in the League and a cup final makes for a rather obvious comprising but looking slightly deeper WGS and co. - 43 Goals - 46 against - 52 points CPs Red Army - 41 Goals - 47 against - 46 points For argument's sake, let's suppose we bet Stoke 1-0 tomorrow and we reversed that 1-2 home defeat to West Brom. Points, GF and GA would then be completely identical, without any real departure from how we've actually played this season. Baring that in mind, was that season really all it was cracked up to be? Perhaps it is looked back upon fondly, simply by contrast to some of the dross that was served up in the seasons preceding and following. Will Puel, in spite of current opinion, be looked back upon as the man who simultaneous guided us to a cup final, despite a European campaign, whilst maintaining a top half finish?

It's one way of not paying council tax I guess.
  4. Redmond as a replacement for Juanmi, you would have to say was a resounding success by that yardstick. I'd stick prefer it really if he was our 'off the bench option'. He's the only signing I'd really call a hit but again Hull he epitomised our play this season. Completely reluctant to make a run or take on his man, he just stood off opponents on the touch line, playing it inside to Romeu or back to Bertrand. The rest have all been generally poor. Caceres you could say did his job in the sense that he has been there as cover but that's about as good as it gets. Can't help but wondering if either Hoj or Boufal (or both) might be off in summer. Not because we're trying to offload them but because they clearly haven't adapted to English football.
  5. I'm going to be controversial and say nothing astonishing will happen against Stoke tomorrow. That being the case which moment sticks in your mind most vividly? Cup final and Anfield aside it's fairly slim pickings, it has to be said. Beating Inter was decent and Sparta, after which I thought we'd have a real crack at Europe.
  6. Can add Alan Smith to the list. If you want to include semi-credible foreign leagues you could have Ashley Cole too.
  7. Indeed, his first touch might have skidded 40 yards off the wet surface and slipped through De Gea's gloves.
  8. I did go to the Palace game but missed Leicester, so I think the last game I enjoyed before that was Inter Milan. Arsenal Hull Man City Bompey West Ham West Brom Spurs Be'er Sheva What a load of garbage.
  9. My favourite was when Norwich 'won' the transfer window.... .... .... then got relegated.
  10. Barring a 12 goal swing we're going to finish above West Ham, for the 4th year in a row. Please can we not moan about how we're not doing as well as them in the transfer window again.
  11. Job done but we don't make things easy for ourselves. Should have been 3-0 really.
  12. I thought this idiot was on his last warning? Anyway, good to see Austin back.
  13. Shane Long isn't that sort of penalty taker. Some fans don't realise just how good a penalty that actually was, he had the pace in his run up that none of our other strikers posses.
  14. Come on lads, one more goal puts us 8th and conclusively proves for ever that Puel is as good as Pochettino.
  15. JS and MC together would be frightfully short of Premier League experience. Together with Pied, that would be a back 4 badly short of cohesion.
  16. Can see the point in resting him with such a packed end to the season but it'd have made much more sense to leave him down South. At least we'll have some sort of answer to the Caceres question.
  17. Tadic instead of Sophie Anne please. Apart from that I'd agree, maybe give McQ a game.
  18. Look, do you rate Davis or not? Make your mind up FFS!
  19. The phrase 'a perfect storm' is overused a lot but it pretty much was. Vardy and Mahrez in the best form of their careers Discovering one of Europe's best central midfielders from nowhere An astonishing lack of injuries ALL the traditional top 6 teams having a poor season. Spurs bottling the title race. I don't care what a manager has done in the past, only what they can do here and CR will never come close to what happened at Leicester for the rest of his life.
  20. Incidentally, last time this was a Prem fixture it was our only away win of the season. Crouch and I think Jakobsson with the goals.
  21. We came up with Fonte, Hooiveld, Martin and Seaborne as our centre halves. Not to mention Guly, Lee, De Ridder, Fox, Connolly and Butterfield. I think we've done okay replacing players.
  22. Who's driving up for this one? I mean properly driving up from Hampshire, not local expats who live 20 minutes away. To those who are, I salute you.
  23. Anyone know the young lad who collapsed about 15 minutes from the end? Didn't look too good, from where was it looked like the paramedics had the defibrillator out but I'm hoping it was just a heart monitor. Stopped caring about the result after that, hope he is okay.
  24. You be mad not to, he's 30 and scored 3 League goals this season, 2 of them against relegation fodder.
  25. You don't. No idea where you got that from. Who would you say was worse than Mané, had 2 years on his contract and left for more than £38m?
