Now we're talking. Whilst we're on the subject of Bind girls, I wouldn't say no to Ursula Andress or Britt Ekland either.
-
I'd be in favour of trying CC at CB too, I mentioned it on another thread. For me it's a dead heat between them in terms of ability. Both excellent players so it would depend on the opposition. At home to Burnley, Clyne every time. A trip to the Bernabeu against Bale and Ronaldo would probably require the more defensive Calum. In short, there is no right answer to this one. It would be nice to find a LB and a left sided CB who can also cover LB, to replace Lovren. Then we have good versatility and depth in most positions.

How many more signings do you think we'll make ?

Players I consider up to the job who are likely to stay Keeper - Boruc, Davis* Defender - Clyne, Chambers, Fonte, Yoshida, Jos* D Mid - Cork, Wanyama, JWP A Mid - Tadic, Davis, Gaston Striker - Pelle, J Rod *'The job' being 3rd choice 'keeper and 4th choice CB in this case. Wouldn't want either in the starting XI. Leaves us needing 5 IMO, if Lovren and Morgan leave. 4 if they dont. GK, LB, ST and AM are definites, even if everyone stays. Have enough CM power even without Morgan IMO -
Growing up I was all about Rachel from S Club 7. Showing my lack of age a tad. Sh*t I need a rumour to go with it... Arouna Kone?

People's Republic of Luhansk to beat England in the group stages.

They look like a friendly bunch.

Will be an A1 sized fold out I believe.

I've just checked with my source at St Mary's and I've found out the story Phil is on about. Tomorrow Maxim publish the photo shoot where Katharina gets them out. I personally can't wait.
-
Because he scored 6 goals in the Championship least season. He did a job getting us promoted but there isn't enough about his game to be a Premier League striker.
-
I'm sure Chambers has played CB before for the youth teams. Perhaps that way we can fit him and Clyne in the team, although I can't see it happening. Boruc Clyne - Chambers - Fonte - ???? Cork - Wanyama - JWP Davis - Pelle - Tadic Based on our current options, I'd be tempted to try this. I'm certain we will have a new LB in by the time we go to Anfield. Targett just isn't ready for that kind of baptism.

Lallana has had one good season in the Premier League, just like Charlie Adam and Andy Carroll. Shaw is all about potential quality. Utd didn't pay £30m because he is the best LB in the league, they were buying the potential. Lambert is 32 and already needed replacing. Grant Holt was proven quality a year or two ago, now he is playing for some pub team in Devon.
-
It will if we spend the rest of the money on another four top quality players. I'd rather have six decent players than three.
-
No. It isn't embarrassing, it isnt even close. Embarrassing is calling up a sex chat line and finding out its your mum on the other end of the phone. Or spending £35m on Andy Carroll, I can't decide which is worse. What we have done is sell - Lallana for the same price as of Germanys World Cup winners, Kroos and Khadeira - A 32 year old for 4 times what we paid for him - Shaw for the highest fee ever recorded for a teenager (depending on which reports you believe). We've replaced 2 of them spending less than a third of the money we made from sales. There is nothing embarrassing or alarming here.
-
But you will stick your head in the sand and pretend replacements aren't coming.
-
I can't see Targett as first choice LB. Not even close, he has yet to make a Prem appearance even as a sub. Remember last summer when everyone thought Isgrove was going to be a regular, after an impressive preseason tour. I think this is a similar situation and it's wishful thinking to expect Targett to be ready just like that. If he starts at Anfield I will eat my hat. Not my Mclaren baseball cap, I just bought that. I've got an old beanie I used to use for skiing, I could marinade that in some sort of stroganoff and eat that. Where was I? Oh yeah, we need a LB.

Yes, my post was in response to Clarke's post above. Just had a flick through a Ukrainian football forum. A couple of them reckon its going to be a 14 team League and Shakhtar are going to play their home games in Kharkhiv.
-
I would have thought there would be a few bargains to be had in Ukraine. I dont know to what extent they will be able to run the League this season. Certainly they won't be able to play fixtures involving Zorya Luhansk or the the two Donnetsk clubs, Shakhtar and Metalurg. The two Crimean clubs, Tavria and Sevastopol have been expelled, together with Arsenal Kyiv who I think went bust. Never in a million years will Shakhtar be allowed to take part in the Champs League even if they do have a squad left. At a guess Dnipro will take their place. I can't see the decent players staying there. The league has been ripped apart.

We don't need 7. If we sign another AM and striker to replace Osvaldlo and Guly, that will cover J Rod's injury for a few months. You're being pessimistic if you think Lovren and Morgan are both definitely off. It's possible but let's not talk about 'needing' replacements whilst they're still here. Agree on LB and GK. by my count that's 4 we need plus replacements for anyone else important leaving.
-
Important to hold on to Rodriguez. 9 letters.
-
No idea what you're point is. What we lacked last season was depth. Take out Lallana and Lambert and you're left with Guly and Gallagher in the team. If we get a couple more in we will have a stronger squad overall. Maybe one of them will be a dud and only hit 5 goals but then another might be a superstar and hit 20 on his own.
-
Bullsh*t, everyone knows his family is Kiwi.
-
10 goals and 10 assists for a player is decent but nothing astonishing. It's not like we're replacing a 30 goal a season machine like Liverpool are with Suarez. I see no reason why the new lads can't match L&Ls achievements last year. If we get another attacking player in they just need to average 7 goals and assists each and we're marginally ahead on last season.

You haven't understood the psyche of an Internet troll. He cares not about being popular, funny or accurate he just needs the attention. The easiest way to do that is to be irritating and inaccurate, so other people won't be able to resist pointing out the flaws in his argument. The only way to get rid of people like this is to ignore them. The fact that Dalek still gets a bite out of his Hoddle/lunatic minority/aiming for 17th routine says just as much about you lot as it does about him.

Those 8, plus the 2 we've already replaced - 100%

Routes vary from day to day depending in the favourability of the winds at cruise altitude. Particularly on long haul routes where it can make a big difference over a 12 hour flight. Another reason could be thunderstorm avoidance. Take it from me, those f**king things are everywhere in Europe. If you come across a particularly nasty squall line you could go 100 miles off course avoiding it. Has that map actually been verified by anyone official? It could be completely made up.
