  1. I think you've pretty much got it here. 30,000 people all in one place, you're going to get nutters in from all walks of life. In fact by the law of averages there were probably a couple of people at St Mary's on Saturday who will murder somebody in their lifetime. I don't think football fans are any more racist on average than the rest of society.
  2. This one gets my vote. Megalolz!
  3. Can't be true. This place is run like Auschwitz apparently.
  4. In an emergency descent you would get down as soon as possible but still not that steep. In that case they would go down to 10,000ft not 5,000 where this aircraft crashed. They would also likely take vectors from ATC, away from the mountains. More to the point a depressurisation shouldn't cause a crash at all. The pilots have plenty of oxygen to get them down to a lower altitude. It would have to be associated with some kind of major structural damage.
  5. To get from 38,000ft to 5,000ft in 50 miles would take a rate of descent around 5-6,000ft per minute which is very steep. A normal descent of 33,000ft would take around 110 miles, so if this descent was in any way controlled they would probably have needed the gear down. The only need to do that would be an onboard fire, however that track shows no change in course towards an airport for an emergency landing. An AF447 style stall could be possible but there were no thunderstorms in the area and only light possibly moderate turbulence forecast.
  6. Horrible accident with no survivors by the sound of it. Also very strange. For a modern A320 to crash from cruising altitude would take something massively unusual. I very much doubt it was a controlled descent Trousers. If anything a bomb on board would fit the description best but there is no evidence for that yet.
  7. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-1-2-man-united-player-5381667 Lallana 4 and Gerrard 0 according to this. Although it also says Martin Skeletor 'kept his head where others lost it' right above a picture of him stamping on DDG.
  8. Fashionable though it is to hate Rodgers on here, I can't really blame him for not playing Lambert. We've been pretty much trying to replace him since we got to the Premier League, first with JRod, then with Osvaldo. He suffered from some bad patches of form last year, much the same as Pelle. He's not the man to get Liverpool into the top 4. A lot of people thought we got mugged off for £4m in summer. I thought it was good business then and I stick by that now.
  9. Just looks like the usual tedious, motivational bullsh*t people post on instagram if you ask me.
  10. I'm 8 minutes behind having paused to go for a sh*t. What an absolute lolcano.
  11. Anything other than a Utd win and we're 4 points away from 4th. I haven't personally given up hope yet.
  12. Hopefully the same Everton team that got destroyed by Dynamo Kiev show up. Unfortunately they seem a much better team at Goodison so I reckon this will be a tough game. I'm going to predict a draw.
  13. CDAJF a bottom half team but if we're aiming for top 6 again next season I'd say no. If only Turkish were still here to see this thread. He always knew Michail would make it at the top level.
  14. What do we fancy in the Liverpool Man Utd game tomorrow? Got to be a draw surely, leaves us chasing Utd in 4th and 4 points behind. Anything but Utd really.
  15. Spurs winning thanks to a dodgy penalty, a flukey own goal and Harry Kane bailing them out. Who'd have thought.
  16. I think we should just shout "Steeeeeeeve!" It was his favourite chant.
  17. That's a good angle actually. I think he could also pull off a camp Latino fashionista, so to speak. Or perhaps a gun grazed, PTSD Vietnam veteran signing off every post with, "You don't know man, you weren't there!!" I'm sure he will surprise us all with something new and original.
  18. I'm sure Turks will be back in some capacity. I think he should come back under the disguise of a lady and attempt to befriend sue.
  19. Henry played in the Prem for 8 years. Rooney 13 and counting. Rooney is going to be England's top goalscorer again Estonia, Luxembourg and Belarus. His only World Cup goal in 3 attempts was a 2 yard tap in against the mighty Uruguay. He hasn't looked decent in any tournament for 11 years. He is overrated.
  20. Which is why it needs to be a joint, unified effort. The various nations involved need to realise FIFA have more to lose here. People don't watch FIFA tournaments so they can look at the lovely pretty FIFA logos, they do it to watch the greatest teams from around the world. Given the choice of watching Italy against Brazil in an unaffiliated tournament, or a World Cup final between Qatar and Malta, which would you go for?
  21. Not far off the best squad we've got available to be fair. Just shows how little genuine English talent there is. Gibbs, Shaw and Townsend are the obvious WTF candidates. On the up side I'm glad he's had the balls to drop Chambers and Lambert. Sends the right message out about leaving regular football to go and sit on a big club's bench.
  22. What's the point in dropping players in order to avoid a ban? If we leave him out of 2 games anyway, what do we achieve? We aren't good enough to go leaving out our best players against anyone. We got mugged off at home Swansea, we'll look a right bunch of Muppets if we go leaving out our best players and lose to Burnley.
  23. To be fair Lambert, Lallana and Lovren weren't great at playing on the bench last season. In fact they ended up starting most games, so Rogers has added that dimension to their game.
  24. I think that put us about 13th in the form table from memory. Pretty decent I thought considering he had no time, no money and took over a club in free fall.
  25. I'm pretty much the same, only with terrible body odour.
