Swansea: 2-1 defeat West Brom: 2-1 win Spuds: 3-0 defeat Sunderland: 2-2 draw Stoke: 1-1 draw

Just done the predictor and had us staying up on 42 whilst Villa go down on GD to Wigan on 37 points. That's beating West Brom, drawing against Stoke and losing the other 3 so being pretty harsh on Saints.

Jos Hooiveld: "I was the fall guy" - (INTERVIEW)
Lighthouse replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Agree. Jos is a big physical centre half. Fonte is a cultured ball player who can play it out from the back. Yoshida has a bit of pace and can read the game well. If you want to find a pacey, cultured, ball playing brick sh*t house you are going to have to fork out North of £20m. Until then I think all 4 of our CBs have a role to play. -
Jos Hooiveld: "I was the fall guy" - (INTERVIEW)

Our defence is doing well enough not to shift it around and we aren't going to gain much by playing him. Putting Forren into the team could upset that as he isn't used to playing with the first team. I would predict that, injuries permitting he wont play for us in the last 5 games. Not until we are mathematically safe at least. Why risk it if we don't have to. The fact is we have only let in 3 in the last 5 games and 2 of those were set pieces. If it aint broke don't fix it. -
I'd have said the same when QPR went to Chelsea. Never say never although it would take a brave man to bet against City.
-
Don't fancy Newcastle's fixtures much. Trips to West Ham, QPR and WBA with Arsenal and Liverpool at home.

Ramiez, time to settle or not good enough?

What has Lambert got to do with anything? Why would he care what Gaston is earning, Rickie has just signed a new contract which I doubt he is doing too badly out of. You might have a point if Gaston wasn't putting a shift in but that isn't his problem. Yes, the last thing a struggling player needs is support from his own fans. -
Yeovil and Crawley at home, then Shrews and Orient away. I reckon there might be 2 draws in there. Or Lee Barnard could get the winner at home to Yeovil on Tuesday and send them down.

SAINTS 1-1 West Ham // Post-Match Reaction
Lighthouse replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
A draw will do. After the last 3 wins we can't really complain. Both teams edging towards mid table obscurity, none of our rivals have won either. Pompey lose and are as good as down. I'll take it. -
@ Pompey

I thought both teams were sh*te first half at Upton. I vaguely remember the MOTD highlights from that game, there was one shot off target for the first half and that was all they showed.

BWP!

Sh*t! Mods can someone lock this please.

Come on Saints. Let's get that magic 40. Add your nuns and muffins below.

All 4 pundits going for a Saints win. We're doomed. (Merse through gritted teeth )
-
Much easier just to shout, "Oh bother that chap!"
-
May have to go for my lucky sh*t now before the game. Don't want to put a curse on us by going before the game but I'm touching cloth here. Wish me luck.

I'd quite like wins for Arsenal, Everton, Reading and a draw in the Villa/Fulham game.

I don't think anyone on here is actually in favour of a minutes silence. There is however a world of difference of that and people saying they are glad she is dead, going down the pub to celebrate and saying they would cheer/boo a minutes silence.

Politics is full of the supposed 'good guys' getting into bed with some very shifty characters. We supported Saddam Hussein in the Iran/Iraq war and more recently Tony Blair was seen getting very chummy with Gadhafi. British and US governments have been supporting and supplying weapons to some horrible people because they were politically opposed to our enemies. The Mujahedeen in Afghanistan and the wasps nest which is Israel who I believe break more terms of the Geneva convention than any other state on the planet. I don't agree with any of it but it's hardly exclusive to Thatcher. I'm not whitewashing what she did, she was very often on the wrong side of history. I do think people should at least try and show respect. 2 wrongs not making a right and all that.

Really quite disturbing the sheer number of people apparently rejoicing in the death of someone simply because they hold opposing political ideologies. She wasn't a terrorist or a tyrant. She didn't bring a wave of mass murder upon her own people. The way some of you are going on, you'd think she was at Hillsborough with a machine gun. If you hate her politics fine but she was re-elected by a landslide in '83 and '87. Whatever your opinion of Thatcher, enough people voted to keep her in power for over a decade, so deal with it. This coming from someone who is pretty much neutral when it comes to political issues. This is nothing to do with football and we wont be having a minutes silence. Surely we can lock this thread.

No. There wont be.

I would have loved to have got him from Rotherham when Reading did and at £350k he was a bargain for what he has delivered. I'm sure if we got him instead of giving Connolly another year we'd have won the league. He has been a decent sub for Reading this year but that's about the limit of his talents if you ask me. An impact player for a bottom half team. We should be aiming higher if we have serious European ambitions next year. He is a good finisher and will get goals but does little else. No presence, no pace, very little trickery. He would be best suited staying where he is and trying to bring Reading back up next year.

Why are we bothered about the Hammers views on JRod? They've only seen him play once this season. We might as well discus what Jodie Marsh thinks of DEFRA or H from Steps views on the large hadron collider.
