Supporting the players in taking the knee
Baird of the land replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
I'm curious with England now carrying on this summer is there an end point or do they plan to keep doing this rite for time immerorial because you are never going to eliminate every social media troll. -
Agree walker will play likely at centre back. Disagree with rest James shouldn’t be anywhere near anywhere but right back. Trippier isn’t going to cover left back given there are already left backs. Just weak management including TAA.
-
picking 4 right backs just seems silly to me. Strikes me as very weak managerial response to getting some criticism for dropping liverpool's right back last time round.
-
Feel JWP is unlucky to have missed the cut.
-
Love that City failed again to win champions league

Doh was really hoping for something inspired by the 1987-89 Saints/danish vibe kit. Maybe next time. To be fair i expected it would be a return to a very simple stripe affair this time after the sash approach. Doesn't inspire any desire in me to purchase but sure there are many stripe fans who will be happy with it.

Lovely to see utd fluffing their lines in a European final
-
Hopefully that means we’re getting Something inspired by our 1987-89 kit.

Was that as bad a miss as it seemed on first viewing. I switched off before any replay was ever shown.

Think Mccarthy is the marginally better of the two. They are both serviceable which is hardly great praise but when we've got a lot worse Gunn still hanging around we've got to suck that up for another season.
-
Infuriating game. Equally good as them for large stretches but if you are unable to seriously work the keeper and they are you are likely to lose. The early adams header was probably the closest we came and that would have needed a goalie howler to let in. Too many times i felt we want to shift it out wide rather than go for the jugular. Not sure i can pin much blame on Mccarthy made one exceptional save, few decent saves. Couldn't do anything about the Tyler rebound. Bamford equal parts skill and jamminess. At 2 nil with seconds left Saints were playing completely braindead football and actively tried to concede a third.

Very good start and overall the better team so far. Missing Ings cutting edge at the moment though.
-
I haven’t seen any indication they’ve rejected or even been offered new ones yet.
-
Except the waters have been muddied by changing it to signify all conflicts in more recent years.
-
Or we could just extend their contracts.
-
Be interesting to see how annoyed ings looks to be on the bench.
-
Barnsley do make burnley look a total football outfit.
-
Ok a lot newer. After watching that brentford bournemouth game i’m Left wondering if toney is as useless as he appeared or is he completely injured and brentford just refused to play a fit player in his stead.
-
Someone new like Brentford or Barnsley. Would be slightly depressing if all three relegated teams bounced back immediately.
-
I mainly just don't have time for more football in my life. I've enjoyed watching the odd international match even if the quality is nowhere near as high as the men's game. I do feel a big issue at times is the lack of competiveness. Too often just one team thrashing another.
-
I'd go Vestergaard red, just marginally ahead of the appalling Villa Cash non handball The brighton penalty was our most generous the other way.
-
Agree it'll be tougher but i would like revenge for that result earlier and they are the sort of side we should be aiming to beat.
-
I think if we lose Vestergaard, ( if Stephens isn't first choice too), we lose much of the ability on the ball. So far what i've seen of Salisu he looks limited in that regard like Bednarek which i don't think is ideal.
-
Marca, kwp, Stephens, vestergaard, salisu, jwp, Armstrong, Tella, djenepo, Adams, ings

Annoying to lose the clean sheet but it was a quality finish by their kid. Lovely to see Tella get off the mark. Made a real difference when he came on. Thought Redmond was our poorest player today.
