  1. Yeah exactly this. This notion that ings never had good chances saved is nonsense. I'm very happy with him as replacement at the moment. Very good movement, interplay with Adams and a wonderful finish last week.
  2. I gave Ralph a lot of grief for his lack of subs last week. This week they were very well timed and the right ones. Great heart from the team to get a point. Slightly frustrated Greenwood's was a scuff that didn't go in the direction he aimed and annoyingly somehow got through Mccarthy Also what a chance for Armstrong to win it. Still concerned about the aerial issue as there will be bigger teams than utd.
  3. He's smaller than both Salisu and Bednarek and a whisker taller than Stephens. That's not tall in football standards.
  4. Another good first half display. (though that near horrendous moment early on will live long in the memory) Just funny watching these big teams Klopp and Fernandes complaining about any physicality. It was a beautiful challenge by Stephens imo. Lovely finish by Fred too. Wish Ralph would be proactive and bring on KWP for Walcott at HT Our severe lack of height is a major issue. This new midget gem of a CB we are meant to be signing might turn out to be good but he won't solve our major aerial issue(both offensive and defensive).
  5. What has happened with KWP & Armstrong. Surprised at Bednarek exlcusion too.
  6. Ralph has pretty much ruled out playing 5 at the back so i’d be shocked if we brought in a fifth cb.
  7. I’m sure is very good with the ball. personally i’m really surprised they’ve prioritized that over a physically dominant defender given our defensive issues.
  8. In all honesty this signing both makes me concerned about how dire our finances must be and has me crossing my fingers that Bednarek has a much better season. Just hoping if he does well his song is "In the jungle, the mighty jungle The Lyanco sleeps tonight In the jungle the quiet jungle The Lyanco sleeps tonight"
  9. In what way is he tall? He's a smidge taller than Stephens and smaller than both Bednarek and Salisu, neither of whom are giants. I didn't expect us to spend £20M but i did expect something more in the 10-15M bracket. Maybe he'll turn out to be great but on surface he doesn't seem to address at all the need for more aerial power.
  10. Doesn’t seem to offer the aerial ability we really crave with vestergaard gone. From the clips seems decent on the ball but i’m Struggling to see him as what’s neeðed.
  11. Curious given lyanco hasn’t played any senior international football, how does he pass the work permit barrier?
  12. No clue. But given livramento looks fab the club has earned a bit of credit in the bank with me if they decide this lad for £5m is worth it too.
  13. Are you unhappy we signed the unproven livramento?
  14. Practically going from 4 to 5 doesn’t mean much. However, Think it’s a good news story, changes the media narrative slightly, which is positive.
  15. Don’t think i’d Start Theo. That said if we decide not to play 2 up front I don’t really see the value in shoehorning Adam Armstrong into a wing position, which I don’t think he’s particularly suited.
  16. Don’t get clubs perpetual fascination with ramsdale.
  17. Don’t really see how we could let him go at this point. Also don’t really feel 50m is some sky high unturndownable sum for England international with long contract.
  18. Would match up with Ralph's comments about perhaps a u23 left back coming in
  19. It’s not even necessarily getting on the end, it’s drawing the oppositions focus.
  20. Interesting to see if he has any involvement in the Newport cup game
  21. Unless there’s a release clause you wonder if Fulham would even sell. They look massive favorites to win the championship. On the other hand forest could probably do with worrall funds to try and improve their squad.
  22. Until trump’s deal to withdraw there still seemed to be us casualties. Offering an indefinite sacrifice of your citizens doesn’t seem very sustainable politically.
  23. Biden was left with a pretty unenviable choice with situation trump left him imo. Pour back forces back in (suffer fresh rounds of deaths) or get out. Given the history of the region a positive long term outcome to re-engagement seems unlikely. The soviets failed there and i’d Say they were likely less squeamish than west.
  24. I really hope this person doesn't win, with her its ok for black people to be racist to others stance. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/aug/16/uk-academic-sues-university-losing-role-critical-race-theory-row-leeds-beckett
  25. Well we signed Armstrong on a Tuesday and he played on a Saturday. Even if they aren't ready to play, it would be benefificial to get them in and training with others asap. Ideally have them be able to play in the Newport game. The vestergaard deal has been sorted since towards the end of last week(and we knew he was likely off all summer and must have had target list identified) so i don't see why we should delay.
