Who should we buy from the relegated sides?
Baird of the land replied to whelk's topic in The Saints
We will never sell Gunn. He'll either be a perpetual loaner until free agentry or our backup until freeagentry. Notice Stoke, after dropping gunn have suddenly kept 2 cleansheets in a row. -
I'm assuming Jankewitz will leave in the summer and is only on the bench as an utter last resort. There's been several opportunities where he could have been involved to rehibilitate him from the utd debacle.
-
Did i just see Djenepo marked as captain on the team lineup?
-
While Tella had a quieter game against brighton he still set up the one bright moment of the 2nd half where Saints almost scored. Redmond on the otherhand was truly appalling and gets rewarded for it.
-
Not Redmond up front again.
-
Well i'd say Left Back should our no1 priority, followed by striker.(makin huge assumption we don't lose any of first 11) GK is down below No10 for me, in the wouldn't that be nice but only if we could sell what we've got.
-
Good to see him back in work. Seems a decent job, hopefully he can make a success of it. Odd he's not been more in demand, did a decent job at hull given the situation at the time. The romantic in me would still like him back at saints at some point, unfinished business and all. That ship has probably sailed though.

Interesting to see on DM victim’s friend disliking the hijacking of her friend’s death with anti police/anti men agenda.
-
Would personally prefer Macca in goal. Given Ralph throwing him to the wolves in City game to protect Fraser i'd expect Fraser to start.
-
Always struck me as a somewhat of a ponzi scheme
-
Makes sense. Maybe his one chance to play in a major tournament.

Not a great reaction to a pathetic loss. not sure n’lundulu Has what it takes but when you are one of 2 out and out strikers that are fit and you don’t get any meaningful game time it’s hard to do much Just part and parcel of ralph’s whole poor delayed reaction sub strategy.
-
I want to see much greater intensity and positive mindset. If we play like we did at any point on Sunday i’ll Probably just turn off. We may not win the cup but losing to the league below would be an embarrassment.

So the organiser of the vigil doesn't want to add to the pile on because the police chief is a woman. So much for equality.

We seem to have gone back to the mentality that players first thought is to stop and pass the ball backwards. While i don't think Tella was particularly effective today he was the only one willing to run at opposition and resulted in one moment in 2nd half where we looked like we might score.
-
I disagree, brighton were much better than us in the first half and should have been in the lead, if not for a combination of a decent fraser save. their player slipping
-
Truly abysmal. Once again why does the other manager make a change at HT while Ralph twiddles his thumbs. Saints were terrible in the first half and lucky to be level. Whole 2nd half felt we had zero desire to pass the ball forward, just slow backwards passing.
-
Worst performance of the season. Zero effort or intensity
-
Saints just slowly passing the ball backwards. How are you ever going score like that
-
Completely pitiful display by saints so far
-
Find it bizarre that bbc think we shaded it. I thought Saints were awful barring short period and well taken equaliser. Our close passing has been really poor.

Anyone starting to look nervously at the table?
Baird of the land replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
I still find myself thinking with a good run we could get into top 10 given way the likes of Villa are stuttering. Clearly we'll lose to Brighton and kill that silly optimism of mine. -
The overall reaction to a very tragic incident is very absurd. Not sure how other men are supposed to challenge rapists/murderers behaviour anymore than other women can. The green party suggestion is both appallingly sexist(against the vast majority of law abiding males) and would make streets less safe.

I think it would be crazy to spend our limited transfer funds on a keeper, when we've 3 senior keepers we're unlikely to be able to shift for any money.
-
And we won't be playing a CB at CM.
