  1. On preliminary evidence we are stronger at left back, whether that’s perraud or kwp over Bertrand. CB I was always of the view are cb were much of a muchness, so not really weaker there if anything salisu seems to be progressing. Hopefully Lyanco will be good striker slightly weaker but Armstrong has been promising so overall i’d suggest not weaker, potential to be slightly stronger.
  2. I assume theo’s demands weren’t particularly large, was keen and easy to get done and he offers versatility and experience. Personally don’t think Hennessy is any better than what we have. Burnley brought him in so they could get their second choice game time out on loan, so made sense for them. heard Romero mentioned a lot (my assumption is he has high wage demands and/or signing on fee demands) hence no one going near him.
  3. Amazed zouma has actually played for France. While he’s decent I do feel £30m is rather inflated as a fee. West ham seem rather short of depth so spending all that on 1 player seems odd to me.
  4. The answer to my own question is no. Should put to bed any speculation that the injury is a ruse for anything else.
  5. I assumed the club think Lyanco has skill set to potentially fill in at dm if required
  6. That's clearly rubbish. Going into a season with only 3 CB was not tenable. Going in with two average keepers is.
  7. We’ve already lots of backup in that position.
  8. Thought second was a nice finish.
  9. Curious to see if Armstrong ends up playing for Scotland during international break.

  11. Hopefully we can move at least one of Long or Obafemi on before the window closes.
  12. From the sounds he desperately tried to gift them a consolation, so not exactly impressing
  13. Also helped by playing on a pristine new surface rather than one that's had two rugby teams playing regularly on it.
  14. Talksport said redmond
  15. We've found our new LB
  16. Listened to the Total Saints Podcast, where the italian guest put his time and unpopularity at Torino in context.
  17. Sounds like a nice striker by Redmond. Good to see Broja following up.
  18. Coming round to hopeful stance that maybe club have identified a bargain
  19. Maybe giving him security of longer contract enabled them to get him to agree to a better wage from the club's perspective.
  20. Football: 'Will they change the All Blacks?': All Whites great on possible name change - NZ Herald Agree with their top scorer, deeply unfair to discuss changing one 'all whites' and not to be discussing changing the 'all blacks' (think changing is crazy personally)
  21. Exactly my thoughts if he wanted to stay in championship and not drop down league. Can't see them having turned him down if he was fit and had sane expectations.
  22. I take with a pinch of salt the stuff about signing an understudy. Think it's likely fluff to go alongside a contract renewal for our current first choice. Hardly likely to come out and say next season we'll replace him.
  23. Am i the only one laughing at the no offers stuff. I'm assuming that's no offers at his ridiculous expectation and wage level.
  24. Makes sense to extend McCarthy and then be able to focus on getting a first choice keeper next summer.
