I'd prefer to get some money for him while he's under contract (and reinvest it in a replacement) and keep the likes of Tella/Armstrong who are under contract longer
-
Very disappointed but not entirely surprised. Going to be well and annoyed if as i expect he does well again. Likely truly annoyed when piddly fee we no doubt accept for him.

To me looking at our squad outside of premium players like Lavia/JWP who we might struggle to keep hold of and extreme dirge (orsic etc), you've got a largish group of players with contracts running down that i'd expect most would go if we can find homes for them. The only 2 i'd think we might be looking to potentially extend are smallbone and adams Alex McCarthy – 2024 Jack Stephens – 2024 Ché Adams - 2024 Stuart Armstrong – 2024 Mohammed Salisu - 2024 Ibrahima Diallo - 2024 Dan Nlundulu – 2024 Will Smallbone – 2024

Leicester seem to be in quite a good position. lots of players out of contract they can shed simply. A few they can get big money for. If they can get recruitment right like burnley did(who were in similar position) We are up to our necks in mediocre players with poor attitudes, that we have to somehow find away to get rid of.

Glad to see he's doing well. At the time i was disappointed we didn't give him any opportunities after he'd captained the u23 to promotion then had a successful loan spell in league 1.
-
It would be truly pathetic of the club to have blown that money on Sulemana to cheaply loan him away.
-
I've got a bit skeptical of this whole' possession' football mantra. I loved some of Adkins quick passing football in the championship so if it is that great. If it the slow possession we've had shoved down our throat for last few years then i'm very against it.

I'll repeat what i said ahead of Fulham game My hopes. AMN not in the squad. Several of B team on the bench, ideally 1 of them in the team.
-
Interesting statement. would like him to stay as he’d definitely be useful. that said i’ll believe it when I see it. His contract is running down, so you’d think he'd Need to sign an extension for him not to be off.

Worst Player of the Season Award 2022/23
Baird of the land replied to niceandfriendly's topic in The Saints
A photo finish between amn, aribo and Diallo. -
Fortunately i was busy with other things today and wasn't subjected to another awful Saints defeat. Flabbergated when i saw the starting lineup contained AMN (who was despicably bad in the game versus Forest). Typical saints this season in rewarding failure.

My hopes. AMN not in the squad. Several of B team on the bench, ideally 1 of them in the team. If it was me i'd play something like Bazanu(might as well play him given we are down) KWP DCC Lyanco Djenepo Alcaraz Lavia JWP Sulemana Mara Ballard
-
Clearly taking off your worst player is not the trendy thing to do for turtlleneck idiot managers
-
How has that complete fraud of a player (AMN) managed to both start and finish the game. Clueless joke of a manager.
-
Yeah Bree would be fine by me. I'd even be ok with giving Payne a game.
-
Yeah was just thinking that watching Armstrong do well to drive and get some space, only for JWP to instantly pass backwards without a thought of going forward
-
Why are we playing that pathetic loan boy.
-
I'd prefer not to see AMN in the team, other than it looks ok. Sulemana a little unlucky but guess he'll be pace from the bench in 2nd half.
-
Given the number of young players we already have in 1st team squad, the bloated nature our squad we need to dispose of and the talent in the B team i'd be wary of too many loans. What we need is experienced players to help turn the culture round(last time round we had the likes of Fonte, Hammond and Rickie.)
-
I'm curious to see how West Ham do in their next few because when/if they are on the beach the relegation race. They've got City(A) Utd(H) & Brentford(A). If they come out with 0 which is feasible, they likely need something from either Leeds or Leicester to be comfortable.
-
I switched off after that appalling 2nd goal where Walcott managed to put it in his own net. Don't get taking Sulemana off. He seemed to be arguing with Selles, which is fair play to him. Not sure what the plan was with our subs. Thought we should have changed things at HT, we'd clearly ridden our luck defensively. Thought the ref was very poor. The freekick he gave them where they almost scored but for Mccarthy just before their first, djenepo not even sure Djenepo touched the newcastle player. 5 minutes later at 1-1 the ball goes up to Sulemana and the defender is all over him and ref ignores it.
-
Really pathetic
-
Ref is a complete cheat
-
Surely we can't leave Lyanco at RB all game getting demolished at some point Gordon is accidently going to hit it on target or locate another newcastle player or they'll replace the useless sod. Could we move KWp to that side and Djenepo to left (really don't want to see AMN)
-
Not of a fan of the refs approach to bookings. Gunimares 2 fouls in a mnute, nothing. How we're the only ones to come out with a booking is wrong. Good effort by Saints, forunate though that Gordon is useless (otherwise game could be over). Armstrong playing very well and capped off by smart movement(stopping his) for the goal. Still not convinced we''ll hold it (and definitely not going to get invested in miracolous escape nonsense) but guess just enjoy these fading moments of premier league football
