  1. I can see what selles was trying to do with his lineup. A compact midfield, the problem wasn't for me S.Armstrong who was ok, it was Moi who was shockingly bad. The use of Sulemana as an impact sub was decent too. Saints have too often been reulctant to do that, last season i was bemused why we barely used Tella in that manner.
  2. Please turn up Chelsea
  3. According to JWP " I know Fraser [Forster] very well, he used to be my next-door neighbour so I've taken a few penalties against him in my garden with my little boy, so we have something going on there."
  4. I think it is VAR being used according to the rules. There was contact, therefore in no way a clear and obvious error.
  5. Great comeback, useful point but probably needed more. An infuriating team. Turn up for certain games and then go missing for others 2nd & 3rd goals were down to having a makeshift CB in AMN who wasn't great aerially. (Just bad luck and he did his best out of position and was ueseful bringing the ball out) Walcott excellent again and deserved his goal. Good to see 1 go in for adams, the kind he scores when he doesn't have time to think about it. Sulemana may be more use as a impact sub running at tired legs, as that worked well today. My main ire is reserved for Elyounessi, horribly lazy causing their first. A coward before their second (bottling a shot when well placed and passing to Adams). Just generally like playing with 10 men.
  6. It wasn't great by Perraud but at least he was trying to mark someone, unlike (off the Ball) Elyounessi who just stood around and did nothing.
  7. Pathetic way to concede(Moi and perraud both just letting their full back have freedom to score) Some pretty build up but there's real sense that there is any possibility of scoring from it. Get onachu on at HT, they can't keep on having no threat from set pieces, especially when you know fraser is poor at crosses
  8. Right move considering the lack of options on the bench. Just doesn't fill me with confidence. Going to be 20 minutes injury time at this rate.
  9. AMN at Cb again, hmmm
  10. Don't get how Moi can get in the starting lineup after his abysmal performance in midweek. Would have preferred to see Djenepo involved at least he might have provided some unpredicability in attacking areas.
  11. What rubbish. By that logic underperforming teams should never buy players
  12. Decent result for saints. Just a pity I have no faith in saints capitalizing on it.
  13. I'd still argue there were flashes last season. The Brighton away game for example where he was involved in both our goals. He was also involved a lot less than his breakout season which was odd. Even more odd for a player with bags of pace we didn't use him off the bench as an impact sub much. If he was here he'd be unlikely to have less impact than (22M on Sulemana, 6M on Orsic and 10M on Edozie) have had so far and would have cost us just the loan fee.
  14. Seems the sort of player we spent double the amount you’d pay in the summer. he’s got pace but that’s about all that has impressed me about him. Impressed me more than edozie but that isn’t saying much. mainly i’m Just annoyed we didn’t recall our own very pacey player from his impressive loan spell rather than overspend on sulemana.
  15. When tella scored his previous hatrick I idly wondered if he might end up scoring more than the entire saints squad. Currently it’s 17 to 20, so he’s still got work to do but unlike saints he’s more likely to score per game. hope if any of the existing personnel were involved in the decisions in any way to loan him out and not recall him, that they are removed from the club in the summer.
  16. It's almost a skill to be able to hit any target but the massive target man you've brought on.
  17. 22M on Sulemana, plus 6 on Orsic rather than recalling Tella always seemed mad to me but now looks utterly bonkers. Going to be very annoying watching him play in prem for Burnley next year. We are utterly bereft of threat in forward areas. For all our dominance in the 2nd half we made Raya make 1 save the KWP cross and Adams shot. There's no way we can stay up with a philosphy of falling over around the box and hoping JWp can score a FK
  18. Because Saints will never be able to hit an accurate cross
  19. You wouldn't think it would be hard to aim crosses at a giant but our players are unwilling or incapable of hitting that target
  20. Our crossing is pathetic
  21. Get a second striker on. Peronally for me it should be Onachu. We're pumping crosses into the box, why not try and do so to a 7 foot giant.
  22. Don't really get how those subs help saints get a goal, let alone 2
  23. Why are we swinging deep crosses into to Moi, rather than putting Onachu on?
  24. Get Onachu on for moi please and go for it. Game is just bypassing him
