should they not have searched the grandmothers property before now? Also - the grandmother must be in on this in some way (not wanting to slander anyone) but you cant live in a house that small and not notice a body, surely??

Nice, good luck. Job sounds similar to what my company does - install and maintenance if AV and TelePresence systems. Lots of overseas travel for my guys. Tough job, living out of a suitcase. On the plus side, they get to see the world (airports, hotels and offices).

Just back from the sailing at Weymouth. Was a very good day all in all. The set up of the park and rides (monkey jump) right through to the volunteers in the town and the friendly police made the day very enjoyable. Great to see GB get a silver in the windsurfing - and was stood right next to him when he swam ashore to meet his family. On out way out of the Nothe we met some very official looking people with ear pieces in...walking 30 seconds behind them was none other than the PM David Cameron. He stopped and talked to the Mrs and I and asked if we had a good time. Apart from the last bit, it was a great day

OK - going to Weymouth for the Sailing tomorrow. What can I expect? Not really in to sailing, but it's the Olympics and once in a generation thing to see. Is the traffic as bad as people thought? What the hell happens during the races?

This was, is, my point. There is a distinct difference between the 2, there is. Child abuse patently isn't okay.

Good debate, this, and I'm glad I opened up the thread. I would like to think that I would be able to reason with my child, although reasoning with a young child is sometimes next to impossible - and can understand why a short sharp shock would do the job and get your point made. That being said, is it right? Maybe not. That's the thing with this type of question - 2 sides, no definitive right or wrong answer.
