Gyan would be a very decent signing. Not quite so keen on the play he forced a move from Sunderland though.

Whilst I'm not blown away I don't think this is as bad as signing as some make out. He will add pace to the front line whilst Jay is out. I personally would have been more pleased if it was Jelavic. As for the fee I'm beyond caring what we pay seeing as desparate its beginning to look to bring players in before Sunday.

I agree. I think it should have been Chambers not Morgan being told they need to stay. If he can play well in CB then it would have been somewhat useful to have him now!

If we sign a CB before the game (which looks more than likely) is that not all the key departures replaced? Lallana/Tadic, Shaw/Bertrand, Lambert/Pelle, Lovren/new CB. Not including Chambers as we have Clyne.

I really think we are going to cause an upset in this game. Liverpool are gonna be hyped up and feel the pressure whereas I'd like to think our squad has something to prove to the doubters. 0-1 with a later debut goal from whoever our new CB is.
