I think letting someone else take a punt on him would have been my choice. Sure if he comes good again (which I hope he does wherever he plays) then yes we could have lost a good player, but we are talking about Jay Rodriquez here not Lionel Messi - and if the talk is to be believed, we already have a replacement lined up anyway...
