Coming back to it. I don't think it's too impossible that it may be Ralph. We've sacked the manager just a week after he was in the stands at city, and yes I know he was supposedly not there for us, but it's a long old way to go to see an old friend - only to spend your evening watching the game. In essence, I'm saying it shows he still retains a soft spot for saints... He's also available, he knows and loves the club, he's worked with spors historically, and he's got a history of being promoted (in the German leagues). He'll also know the culture of the recent German players and the red bulls type setup, and he won't take any shit from players like Downes, thb, Stephens etc.

Still quite literally only has himself to blame. Our league position with this squad is embarrassing. Fellows, Azaz, Scienza, AA... he has arguably one of the very best set of forward players in the league to chose from - and more importantly players that are tailor made for his own self declared favourite formation which he refused to play.... Let alone with the likes of Jander, Downes, and Charles behind them - or players like Jelert, Rooerslev, Wellington, Manning etc. This squad should be chasing autos, not only just sat above the relegation by virtue of Sheffield Wednesday imploding. The mistake SR have made is hiring Still - but still has very little to complain about. He has spectacularly failed.

Sounds like he is off to Wolves.

Carrick and Chally are the two best picks for me. Free or cheap compensation, and manager That is absolutely appalling.
-
Challinor, Carrick, Robins... selles... selles jr who will rasmus pick?
-
We might actually go back for selles...
-
Is he related to Selles? I reckon i've found Rasmus' type guys...

He's done very well with the U21s and he can't actually do worse than Still... but fucks sake SR, this is very underwhelming. 100% has the SR/Rasmus feel to it.
-
As Turkish said, Still was a brave/bold appointment that a lot of fans backed. It hasn't worked out. Generally though, spors' recruitment has been good. He has some credit in the bank.
-
Honestly, i think it highlights a serious weakness in Solak's judgement that he's still here.
-
Spors i think has some credit in the bank. The fact parsons is still at the club given the money that's been spent elsewhere is very disappointing.
-
And you know its going to happen as well 😰
-
he has to go surely? If he gets another game it would be ridiculous.
-
It really is odd how its all turned out. I think the job was just to big for him at such an inexperienced time of his career. I suspect we have some players from the Martin/Prem era that are mentally finished frankly - reading the comments from the new boys.
-
At least we've had our last Will Still game. Now to get someone in who won't take any shite, will command respect, and instil some meaningful standards on this squad. And ffs, please would someone sell the likes of Downes and THB in January if they don't want to be here. If they can rediscover some commitment and hunger then fair enough, but if not then move them on!!!
-
Well, i took that as implied by the fact you're considering him as an ideal managerial target for us😅
-
Hypo, i really don't get why you think Dyche would have dropped down to saints - he's been appointed at a european club with a cracking squad of players.
-
I really hope not. He's a terrible manager and i've spent the past year or so partaking in the dogs abuse towards some spurs mates... tomorrow we'll have won 1 game in a 365days, i don't need to compound that by receiving Big Ange banter on top.
-
What was his reaction?
-
This really is an issue for us. We rarely kick up a fuss and demand better. Tomorrow we will have won 1 game in 365 days... and our fans either left early or quietly filed out at the end... a club like west ham would have had a riot and been trying to stop the directors box or throwing missiles at it... Yes SR have been awful as owners, yes Still was terrible and out of his depth, yes some of the players are weak links... but the fans also have to accept a degree of the blame as our home support especially does need to be better.
-
Incredibly muted protests at the ends, the fans that stayed just quietly filing out 😕
-
Surely thats the icing on the cake of his tenureship?
-
Reckon a lot of fans are now subconsciously waiting for us to get relegated to the 3rd tier, get taken over, and start again... Its that fucking shit now - club looks absolutely lost and needing a full reboot.
-
If Wednesday weren't in the mess they are in, we'd be in the bottom 3 today. Thats how bad we are.
