I dont think the team you've put out is all that bad really. Was never going to be a game for 90 minutes for Ramirez, I'd imagine he'll get the last 20 to try and get at stoke, along with Mayuka for one of the strikers as they get tired. That said Hooiveld is pretty much a cert to get booked and give away a peno today.

Davis Clyne fonte yosh shaw Cork morgan Punch lambert ramirez Jrod
-
He'll be a very good player for you, hes probably not got much game time because nigel knew he'd be going and didntbwant him to become a crucial player before
-
Youve shown yourself up as an absolute **** in this thread, hope you lose your job and have to grind it out like so many other are. *****

Difference was you looked like a team who had 2 weeks off, there will be results like this along the way but im still sure you'll be fine.
-
Puncheon looks like a proper little troll.

Who takes over the armband? Im guessing Lambert/Fonte/Cork?

Ref has been consistently bad for both teams today, having a right shocker.

Sitting in 15th as it stands, reflects the abilities of your team much more fairly.

Reading and Sunderland are pivotal to our season

Should definately beat Reading taking anything off Sunderland would be a great result for you. They're going to click eventually. For me its between you Villa, Wigan, Reading and QPR on who goes down, atleast 2 of those will go down with the most likely being Reading and QPR. Fulham and Sunderland might slip in and around the relegation places but I think their quality will see them through. As far as im concerned, barring the Goalkeepers, you are better than all 4 of those teams I think could realistically go down. A long term injury to Ramirez or Lallana would be a serious concern for you though. -
You just need a keeper and a centre back. Anything else I'd get on loan then buy in the summer. Keeper will be someone experienced on a 6 month deal paying hardly anything in a transfer fee. CB shouldn't be too expensive either as your first two arent that bad. I'd look for someone on loan ala Caulker last year.

Bit disappointing because at times I felt Liverpool were there for the taking. But the players have done incredibly well recently and a bad result was expected at some point. Win the next 2 games and you're in a good position heading towards the busy schedule.

Kinda game that will sort jay late on

There no chance he'll be at the club for too long, I'd say a maximum of two more seasons after this year. But will make you a good profit and win you a lot of points along the way.

Are we finally in a position to keep our youngsters?
student replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
Shaw will go in a few years imo but he is a 20m player for me. Going to be englands leftback for years -
Jos was great last year but he's well out his depth in the premier league hasnt he given away 3 penalties personally? Too slow and makes stupid tackles when someone gets beyond him.
-
Its a funny one really, its not a foul but another ref could have sent him off for that
-
Hes clearly tired from midweek

Manager has put out the right team, time for the players to go out and repay the faith he's put in them and make themselves undroppable.

Henriquez is a Chilean national team player and is only in the reserves so he can get used to the english style. Powell is seen as the heir to Scholes and the fans want him to be playing, Brady is seen as a backup to the first team but would be better than most your wingers. There is nothing wrong with getting players on loan either, Wilshere, Sturridge and Cleverley went on loan and now they're england internationals. Especially considering you might go down its better for the club that you get in players on the short term so you dont lose lots of transfer fees or wages incase you get relegated. Defensively theres got to be a good youngster out there that someone will loan out, this time last year Caulker was on loan at swansea and now is an england international. Its not swallowing your pride to bring in some youngsters who could keep you in the league. I support Cheltenham Town and follow United in the league but because im based in southampton now I try and see them whenever I can.

Saints need to be looking at some loans from the big boys this January, plenty of good talents out there that could come in and turn you around whilst you line up full time signings for next summer. United have Brady, Powell and Henriquez that could do a job for you. Frimpong from arsenal could sure you up too. Not sure Youll be able to find a good enough CB on loan but you can fill the other positions you need reinforcement.

They are both ball retainers, you wont be able to play with confidence until the CBs and forwards believe you can retain the ball. Its fair enoug having two people who break up play but your mids at the moment dont, too often they are bypassed offensively and defensively. You need to play one of MS or Davis max,but both are so out of form id drop them both.
