  1. http://www.nufcfans.co.uk/fan-blog-applying-soccernomics-to-newcastle-united-transfer-policy-explained/? A good read and encouraging to see some parallels with Saints (i.e signing players in early twenties and replacing best players before selling them, read jrod?) perhaps we could emulate newcastle and play in Europe soon? tongueincheeksmileything
  2. that's more ammo for the anti-guly contingent then
  3. cheers for that interesting fact. I would assume many players at the big clubs have non-careers though, we just don't hear or even know about them
  4. dI santo 1......
  5. agree with this looking like a massive 6 pointer! 2-1 saints! lallana, sharp and kone the scorers!
  6. if true, talk about knee-jerk! seemingly out to replace the whole defense after the weekend mauling. Didn't they just sign Rob Green?
  7. "10.48 BST: Southampton hope to complete the signing of Gaston Ramirez from Bologna despite delays in the move caused by the selling club's financial problems. It is understood that a fee and payment plan have been negotiated for the 21-year-old Uruguay winger, who will cost the Saints a record £12 million, but it is understood Bologna are attempting to secure a loan against the repayments." Looks like all sites are reporting the same thing, hopefully we have a new player by tomorrow
  8. hopefully NA took note of how slow and clumsy Ramis was in the chelsea game and takes advantage of that
  9. lol why are you still peeking in this thread, why can't you move on alone?
  10. he's scored more than united Liverpool and arsenal combined
  11. that was silva?
  12. immensely proud of the team, keep playing like we did in the second half and we would have no problems staying up! our midfield looked solid with maybe the slight exception of schneiderlin in his defensive role, NA will have a tough time choosing from lallana jwp and davies who all looked fantastic! lambert should probably start against wigan being a home game and all, really lifted the team and brought a sense of belief to the team that we could get something out of this game. overall, fantastic display and I'm already lookin forward to the next game! (with Phillips and Ramirez strengthening the team )
  13. michu has scored twice for Swansea already, looking a value buy
  14. FFS its p!ssing me off reading the comments from ignorant fans of the big clubs on 'ramirez to southampton' articles. Totally understand why the club wants its transfer dealings done in private before being announced now. We're going to look stupid like West Ham, throwing cash at top players who wouldn't come, if this falls through. (albeit the difference being the players actually do want to come to our club except for... whatever the hitch is)
  15. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story/_/id/1133337/premier-league-preview-2012-13:-from-out-of-the-shadows?cc=4716 Saints not mentioned in any of their predicted bottom three, with Wigan favorites for the drop.
  16. expect us to have a high possibility of facing similar scorelines against the likes of mancity manutd spurs newcastle pool arsenal chelsea, all of whom have the same quality if not better than today's opponents
  17. highly doubt so... http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1128562/sir-alex-ferguson-tips-chicharito-to-have-'top-season'?cc=4716
  18. saints fan from faraway Singapore. Loving the videos and photos, electrifying atmosphere! would love more videos of post match interviews cos I don't get any of that over here. WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUEEE
