  1. well in the transfer window days, it would have meant we signed someone, so... who's the latest out of contract defender we've been linked with?
  2. keep on playing him in the advanced playmaker position he becomes bloody good by the second season. morgan and clyne too becomes class with continued first team involvement. the rest can be replaced though
  3. if you truly mean and believe it when you say 'not a chance' why not just withdraw all your money and stake it on us going down, much better than the interests at the banks. not even a gamble, not a chance = 100% chance of collecting come end of the season, heck maybe earlier if bookmakers decide to pay out early.
  4. possible line up if relegated = the team that played Leeds. we won that one didn't we, easy
  5. simply depressing. very hard to remain positive ATM, everything is going wrong
  6. have a bad feeling NA will stick with punch in the starting line up while using mayuka as an 'impact sub' when we are 8-0 down. he was raving about how excellent mayuka was in his impact sub role
  7. if boruc is that overweight after not playing since last season how fat is this one going to be, have we become a weight loss program now?!
  8. it can get abit hostile around here but just try to look past them and you'll find quite a few intelligent posters amidst all the sarcasm. unfortunately this is one of the more active saints forum so just have to get used to it. ignore posts that you feel get on your nerves (:
  9. it sounded more like come on you spu-aints
  10. refreshing 2nd half where it almost looked like we would nick a point! mayuka looked lively and should start the next game ahead of punch. IMO boruc looks slow and indecisive, drop him for gazza plus start mayuka ahead of punch. these two changes and we should be good for at least a point against WBA. the only other trouble player being fox who yet again fails to track back when he goes forward... I don't know why he doesn't learn and insists on doing this every other match but really we have no other options but to stick with him and get yoshi to back him up as was the case today.
  11. plus boruc is crap, whatever happened to gazza not even making the bench recently..
  12. so that's redknapp as the new messiah and jones as our new world class striker.
  13. 5-4 to spurs with us leading 4-0 at the break before Adkins takes off lambert lallana and puncheon to rest and 'close up shop'
  14. time to go out and get Royston drenthe (though he has fallen swiftly from madrid to everton and now jobless)
  15. why the **** was gazzaniga dropped when he did okay (okay in our porous defence standards) we already have a slow and fat keeper in davis i dont think we need boruc. many have been touting him as the 'final jigsaw' or the 'solution' to our troubled defence but i dont see him being any better than gazza and in fact his playing today only caused the defence to become more unsettled than it already is with so many changes from our previous starting defence.
  16. like I said before there was no need to drop gazzaniga he has been doing okay... put lambert on already ****ing hell
  17. hard to remain positive with a starting line up like this. gazza has been doing okay, has he gotten a knock or something? and our front line don't look threatening at all. is NA trying to fast track his sacking?? I hope I'm proven wrong by full time with five goals for jrod and five assist from guly
  18. not sure if you've watched any of our games so far but hooiveld's confidence looks shot at the moment. would stick with fonte and yoshi at the back.
  19. should have gotten the 3 points against a poor fulham side but for defensive mistakes again! we need clyne back and move yoshi back in central. thought fox did okay defensive wise and his delivery from set pieces were wonderful. never understood the complaints about NA's substitutions in past games till today, totally took off our attacking threats and forced us to sit deeper and deeper without the likes of Lambert and punch holding the ball up front. NA needs to stop doing that and realize its not compulsory to make all three subs. if it ain't broke don't fix it. btw gazza is looking better with every game, think its going to be a while before boruc breaks into the first team
  20. puncheon off? lambert off? no Ramirez no mayuka. dont see how we can get the winner here. best we can hope for is to hold for the draw...
  21. not trying to hammer you or anything but lambert is 30 this year and will only be 32 come 2014. I understand your point of building of a team for the future but right now England should be looking at building a team for 2014 and if so why not rickie? I'm sure Spain and Italy did not say lets not pick senna and pirlo for their respective euro tournaments and they did exceptional at ages of 32 and 33! that's not to say rickie is at their standard but neither is the likes of Carroll and wellbeck? building a team, especially in this early stage, should be about having a good idea of eho are the better players from the entire pool of players you can pick from and then work on the team aspect closer to the tournament. so at this early stage, with a game against San Marino, it is reasonable to say rickie deserves a chance to show what he can provide to this team building process?
  22. the clubs he mentioned are pretty big name clubs, would they want him back?
  23. I see three away wins on the trot there against Norwich, reading and Swansea. anyway ill go for 18 points on the road, 5 wins and three draws
  24. this. skillful player and has the physique to impose himself and bully opposing defenders. plus he has cut out his disciplinary problems, very useful player to have
  25. usual suspects guly, fox, kd etc. no longer in the team to pick on
