I wonder if a Western billionaire could get away with doing so much stuff anywhere else in the world like these Tans and Al Farajes do. Probably not (and rightly so!), and would even be condemned back home if they did. Cortese might have changed our shirts, at least we're not officially the Southampton Saints or indeed have changed colour to green in name of some nationwide preference. I would rather the Liebherrs held tight to the club, and appointed a new CEO.

Thank you Mr.Cortese, you've done a great service and drove us through a remarkable turn of events almost impeccably. Life goes on though, I trust the Liebherr's to recognize the potential that the club has and to appoint someone who will make it happen again. It might not be so spectacular, but really I don't think there's another place most Saints fans would rather be than watching a team built from the bottom with a few very talented and hard-working players having a good season in the best league in the world.

Following the trend, I expect the club to be sold in January 2014. Mid-January blues just don't happen at SMS!

As has been discussed previously in these topics whenever they come round, it is only a matter of time before Cortese buys the club from the Liebherr estate. I really think that this has been his strategy all the way. It was him who attracted the Liebherrs to the club so it would only make sense to start accelerating the process once profitability became feasible. "You know I'm your buyer! Help me out and I'll stop annoying you soon enough!" is what that DM article should read.
