But he is not doing it to the team, that what´s matter to me at least and probably the players too.

Getting a bit boring, just another english manager covering an english managers back.... And when will someone NOT write or say anything about MP not talking english.... It is NOT a big deal these days!!
-
Cesar? No thank you. You seem to forget one little thing.....wages....
-
This is not against your opinion, I am just quoting you because of the age factor in your quote..... I think the age factors are irrelevant cause we are playing in the Premier League and if you are going to be in the team it is about one thing and that is being good enough to earn your spot in the team. I am 100% sure that players like Gazza, Shaw etc are really tired of hearing "they are good considering their age" and that kind of opinions. They are professional football players that wanna be in the team due to their performance, not due to age. They should be evaluated by the same standards as everyone else in the team.

McDermott and Le Fondre get Manager/player of the month
Olallana replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
Yeah, that Chelsea guy is really slow on his shooting at times... -
I agree 100%. But I´m not sure he is interested because of the fans behaviour.....great shame unfortunately. There are still fans in the stadium that moans for the slightest misskick and dont trust him....
-
And injured players would do rehab....

How many points needed for "safety"?
Olallana replied to anothersaintinsouthsea's topic in The Saints
I believe we weill be fine on our 45 points at the end of the season.... There, I said it....let the bashing begin.... -
Well actually, on pre-match conference they always said it with Adkins too, but of course only if the player would miss that particular game and nothing more. That´s the difference now if the player is to be out for longer time....
-
I´m not saying that we did, but I DO think that is the general opinion amongst other clubs fans....most fans don´t look into what other teams spend that thoroughly....
-
I dont think it is so strange that their fans is more keen on someone else than Adkins. If you are a fan of another club and look at his work at Southampton I think they will believe that he never really says anything in interviews, that they are just a lot of catchphrases with little substance and that with the budget he´s been having in League One and The Championship he really should get promotions out of those leagues.... Of course we have a completely different view of his work here but I´m just trying to understand what other fans would think about his time here.

Most owners/chairmans are.
-
of course that team was good.... Gandalf as manager ffs!
-
And THAT is the reason why England won´t win anything in a reasonable close future....
-
And Samba about 3 months away from fitness.... When teams play them with something more mobile upfront than Norwich did he will have serious problems...
-
We did invest in a great goalkeeper that would have been ready to go from october and on. Unfortunately we had some moron fans in the stadium and a manager that made an awful decision to not keep him playing......3 wasted months regarding goalkeeper from october to december.
-
Yes, it was nr 99 today in our beloved shirt.
-
from BBC? They have added todays results twice in that league table.....
-
really?
-
What should we fans do when that goal comes? Any banners ready at the stadium, anyone know? I would like a nr 100 shirt with his name on being printed and go on sell. Any other (probably also better) suggestions??

One Of The First Things Ever Taught To Young Footballers
Olallana replied to TijuanaTim's topic in The Saints
Well on this level it´s often goalies decision if you have players on the post or not. Whatever that makes the goalie comfortable and it´s not like it has been THAT many this year. I think it was far worse last year without having the correct stats. -
The thing with this system to press your opponents is that it will be most effective in the 2nd half due to that the opponents will get tired if you have an effective press on them. In 1st half their fitness will be good so it wont have as big impact as it will in the 2nd half but you have to do it from minute one to get them tired. It´s about our own fitness too of course but I think we have seen that it wont be the major problem. Of course it looked the other way around against Everton but I think they just weren´t ready for that in that 1st half and then it will be effective too, but the more opponents will be ready that we play like this it will be more of a fitness thing to sustain the pressure on them from minute one of the game. Most football games are decided from minute 60 and til the last minute and from the two last game you can see that it´s when our pressure style will become most effective.
-
I believe we now have a manager that knows how you use a player with his attributes and he will help us on the run in. Probably though mostly coming off the bench with an impact.
-
And as you said earlier. He subbed Puncheon and where is his positioning on opponents corners? Well, it´s not defending in our own goal area.....
-
Sorry, can´t help you. Several people here on the board has teached me that it´s all about the result so I´m just looking at the score sheets now
