It´s important to underline that Fonte is pronounced Font, probably not a bold statement that people got it wrong...

There is a big difference between a long direct ball and a hoof ball. When you play hoof ball it´s more up to the striker (usually) to move to the ball rather a direct ball that is more to the striker without him needing to move too much towards the ball. And looking at stats you´ll see that for example a pass from rightsided CB to the left back will be marked as a long pass. Although we´re playing a bit more direct at times I wouldn´t say we´re turning into a West Ham style, it´s more of having a different game plan against some teams and IMO it´s also because we haven´t utilized the space between opponents defenders and midfield as good as we were doing at times last year. If we can find that space more with pass on the feets of forwards or ACM it will look different and probably more fluid than it has so far.

Why would they cost more? Dont you know how pricing of footballers are done?? Price does not equal straight forward performing on the pitch. There´s a lot of other factors to the price of a footballer these days.

How you gonna attract top players if the club speaks out that the goal is to consolidate midtable for next 2-3 years? Better show ambition, taking a shot at it and fail than to never try imo.

Dont know if the budget is so limited if you can bring in a Djorkaeff and others. Maybe limited transfer budget but the wages were probably more than decent since he could bring in experienced players, although some where on loans. Not a terrible manager at all, but a terrible footballing style imo. But from what I understand he´s always popular amongst his players so probably a very good man-manager which helps his teams to achieve what they´ve done.
