Boruc at his best - when he was at Celtic was ranked in the top 5 keepers in the world.
-
Would be interested to know how everyone rates Boruc in comparison to the keepers in the teams around us.. I reckon Krul > Al Habsi > Cesar > Federici > Boruc > Guzan. Although Boruc at his best would definitely be better than all of those even at their respective bests
-
Newcastle would be a perfect example of this

AC Milan's friendly match has been abandoned after Kevin Prince Boateng kicked the ball into the crowd and walked off the pitchafter suffering racist abuse Good Lad. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/watch-video-of-ac-milan-player-1516492

This forum would be a better place if everyone put the tit on ignore

any idea how many tickets we have left..?
-
so Napoli want to sign him in the summer but we want him now..?
-
I don't think established is as much about the time you spend in the league but your quality, i.e. to be established you have to have players who are capable of a mid table finish not ones who are down in the bottom 6 every season - i.e. WBA are established while Wigan definitely are not. - If Swansea keep achieve a decent position this season, add a few quality players then next season i'd probably count them as being established...
-
agreed, he's a huge player for us and we've missed him badly I think SDR playing may be a case of putting him in the shop window in the hope that a championship club comes along this month
-
it does seem that we've created less chances since AL's injury, haven't seen any stats or anything so have no way of backing this up but I wouldn't be surprised if it was the case
-
Class from both of them, can't see why we wouldn't want to be proud of the players we've produced and pleased when they show the fans and the club the respect that they did. People moan these days that footballers are mecenaries, don't care about the club, thick as sh*t etc. these two (and bale) are definitely none of those things
-
We would be good enough to stay up.. whether we will is a different question.. we need to cut out these individual errors, we should have won yesterday and against stoke. for the record I think we will stay up but we should be a lot more comfortable than we are right now
-
although saying that i also saw a report this morning saying Everton can't afford any actual buys and will have to make do with loan signings
-
Anyway, apparently Everton and Juventus are also in for Astori - same website suggested his price tag was about €10m
-
i don't disagree, just gets a bit repetitive when your constantly pointing this out. with a couple of well thought out signings (i.e. not rushed/panic buys) we should be good enough to finish mid-table.
-
I've seen you post the same thing constantly - 'we're spending QPR money' etc. Have you thought about the fact that 1) we can afford to spend this money 2) we have what is effectively a league 1 side 3) it's not easy to make the step up from the championship and to be competitive we need to spend money.. everyone knows that our summer transfer window wasn't brilliant, therefore we do need to spend money this month to make up for it.

seriously f*ck off

Unless when we made the €10m bid we where unaware of Napoli's bid.. definitely seems a bit odd. http://www.football-italia.net/28855/napoli-keen-astori - Napoli definitely appear to be interested though
-
I think it means that Napoli have made a €7.5m bid but that we've bid 10..? not sure though
-
I like Guly and think he's a decent player. However he definitely is no Adam Lallana, since he's been out i've felt that at points we've really missed him. No, imo we're a better team with him than without him
-
Good shout, think he said he doesn't want to come back to the PL though. Not sure about that though.
-
Personally i've always wanted to see Kelv given another chance in goal, unfortunately i think we've seen that he's not good enough. Imo from now on we either need to play Boruc or (preferably) bring in someone like Robinson/Friedel.
-
i believe they had to give him growth hormones as he was considered way to small and weak to make it as a pro footballer. As for the OP - it's a strange one, possibly that, as i believe has been stated, the scouts look for a certain type of player - i.e. skilful/technically gifted, rather than big and strong - which is what good CBs seem to be
-
Exactly. And we need competition/back up anyway
-
Lol at one of them saying 'the team follows the manager - w*nkers' that's rich with Tony Pulis in charge at the ****annia
