  1. To be fair to them, there were only 5 players in that "squad"
  2. Just think, if we'd collected just 1p for every post on this thread we could nearly be shareholders.
  3. Will there be a megalol for the 100k post party or will the drip feed of lolz continue until then?
  4. And so you have, Chez.
  5. So the restrictive covenant on the Fratton Park land has been removed? Yes Colin - and it also ensures that there is a far greater chance of Fratton being bought from the administrators when you next go bust and being completely bulldozed to make way for an extended Tesco and an Ikea.
  6. I think there must be something wrong with the sound on my PC as I could barely hear a whimper from the bestest at the cauldron of noise Well done to ex-Saint Michael Poke though, for keeping a clean sheet for Torquay.
  7. "While the amount is confidential, it will help pay for maintenance of the stands. New electrics need to be fitted and steps running down to exits need realigning. " Looks like plans for the hot dog stand courtesy of the Tesco deal have been shelved in favour of some new fuses and a stepladder... Love the mention of the article of the £10m redevelopment, carefully placed to confuse the stupid and gullible into thinking that the Tesco deal might actually fund a large part of it.
  8. 5 days? FFS, mine will last a day, max. What is yours?
  9. Just in case anyone has forgotten it, here is "Business Editor" (business editor, ffs! Seems she knows about as much about business and #factless does about football) Emma fawning over CSI: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-owners-london-hq-1-3113422
  10. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/the-rise-and-fall-of-antonov-and-his-pompey-dream-1-5832534 So, so bitter from #factless. He's like a small child...
  11. " Cobblers chairman David Cardoza said on Monday*that he was "talking to one or two people" and "waiting for situations to unfold". He added that the new manager, when appointed, will be given "significant money" to strengthen the squad."
  12. 1) Eventually, yes. 2) Possibly. 3) Not very, given that they'd have to be in their best financial behaviour. 4) Yes.
  13. So, the different story - we've just had one of our chimneys rebuilt, relined and insulated and it's ready for a stove. Now, we don't have mains gas and our current central heating is from an oil boiler. This doesn't give us any DHW so we're currently reliant on an immersion heater for that. What I wanted to do was get a boiler stove installed that would heat the living room (which is pretty big) and also integrate with the existing central heating system to give hot water for rads when alight and give us DHW. I had a guy come round last week with my builder but he was very sceptical about the feasibility of what we wanted to achieve, which surprised me as stuff I've read online before suggests that it's perfectly possible. Was he talking toss? Anyone here attempted to do the same thing? If it's not feasible to do what I want, anyone got any suggestions for alternatives to the immersion heater for DHW?
  14. WC - what's your method for seasoning and drying the logs from stuff you've cut down? We had a big oak tree in our garden crown lifted last November and it's left us with a decent stack of logs but I want to make sure they're ready before chucking them on the fire (which isn't installed yet, but that's a different story).
  15. For God's sake stop quoting that!
  16. You're right to be thinking about fixing at some point but I wouldn't go for it just yet (and I'm not). Any rise in the short term would kill any semblance of economic feel-good that may be around at the moment as millions of homeowners would find themselves with even less disposable income and the Gvmt can't afford for that to happen prior to the election and, as Peston points out in the link above, much of the recent good news is based on domestic consumption which would be hit by a rate rise. Additionally, with inflation falling, the most obvious pressure to increase rates has been lifted and it's given the MPC the easy get out from the 7% unemployment trap they set for themselves.
  17. Send my thanks to your wife for that info ;-)
  18. THE SAME MISTAKES WONT BE MADE AGAIN. Uh-huh....
  19. Although I'm not expecting it to happen soon, imagine the wailing from the idiots who were stupid enough to stump up a grand of their own money to "buy a share" in the club when they next go into administration. I will pee my pants with laughter when they start screaming about getting their money back. Hey guys, guess what? You're never getting your money back, administration or not...
  20. Don't be ridiculous. Surely if a football club were on the brink of administration they wouldn't sign a hatful of new players and increase their expenditure! Oh, wait.....
  21. You might have mailed it Nick. There's been no argument between KL & NC at all - this has all been for show. In reality, they've hatched a plan where NC quits and moves down the road to install himself as top dog, maybe even buying out the "Presidents" with whatever loose change he finds in that old coat pocket. Then, in a couple of years, NC & KL decide to merge the clubs to form a south coast super club. Saints provide the money, the stadium, the training facilities, the academy, the footballers, the professional back office staff, and of course the PL Golden Share. Pompey provide the "best fans in the world" and every single one of them will be accommodated in block 17 (Upper) at St Marys.
  22. I once saw a girl I knew in real life on My Free Cams
  23. I've spent the morning checking all my usual sources and there's very little evidence online to support the OP - not even on Pornhub or Redtube. I will keep checking but I'm beginning to doubt there's any truth in this.
  24. The guy that made my coffee in Costa Coffee, Kingsway, WC2 was telling me the same thing this morning.
