Recall his 'goal' against Newcastle? THAT is the sort of chance he'd never miss and the sort he'd never get under the current style of play and tactics. All his 'chances' have been specualtive to say the least. Can't blame him. Why didn't Lallana miss his open goal against Newcastle? Had there not been defenders surrounding him in the box he'd of calmly placed it in the net yesterday. Why was the Norwich defence all around him? That's right -MP's tactics. Even Lambert has found finding space to have a crack at goal hard to come by. Defenders always all around him. Under Nigel everybody would make space for everyone else and chances were very clear-cut and almost impossible to miss. This muppet of a manager keeps defences around their penalty area to quickly snuff out any sort of 'chance' we may get.

I mentioned waking into the real world which you seem to of missed. My point again is that playing the way we do in our remaining fixtures mean we will concede to better attacking sides and not score enough as we've proved incapable of doing. This leads to losses, which leads to relegation. MP has two choices 1) keep playing the same way and hope luck falls our way (not that it can't, but you know...) OR 2) finally wake up to his horrendous playing style and tactics and realize it is not doing us any good, make drastic changes immediately. Yes the key word there is drastic.

If we maintain our Premiership position

Morgan regardless of whether we plummet and finish bottom on 28 points, or just miss out on Europa League on 55 points. The lad's been brilliant. -
What else can I judge the bloke by?! Wait til the next game, see what transpires, react, wait til next game, see what transpires, react, wait til next game...
-
Have you also taken into consideration the likelihood of that happening? 1/9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999th of a chance.

I'm willing to give the bloke time, but game after game he's proving to be more and more of a muppet. If he can engineer a victory against Liverpool, fair play to the man and I'll start backing him again... some strange feeling tells me we're going to lose that game though, same one that informed me of the QPR result.
-
I'd happily take 0-0's in every game from now til the end of the season..... Then I wake up into the real world.
-
For six out of seven games we've been saying the same thing. Wake up and smell the coffee it is not working! Surely you know the phrase "easier said than done"?
-
The two in bold we all know the one-man show that cost us. Wigan was far too early in the season, still adjusting to a new league. Sunderland was at least a better performance than QPR, and against much stronger opposition. I'd go so far as to say our performance at home to Man Utd was as good if not better than Man City. I'm sorry but there is absolutely nothing MP has done that Nigel hasn't equaled or bettered.
-
Are you suggesting he's a ....?
-
Back to back wins? Really? Dear oh dear.
-
This whole idea of 'keep playing the way we do, results will come' is so absurd even Nigel came to terms with how silly it was after WBA that he completely revamped our game and sparked our season into life. If MP does not realize he has to change something based on recent performances then he truly is a muppet and is only taking us in one direction - down.

Play 'okay' like we did yesterday against Liverpool and Chelsea and we might just rewrite the record books in terms of record thrashings.

Let's not make the manager blameless here mate. That's like saying Wenger is blameless that the wealth of talent at his disposal have been unable to score enough goals to win a trophy for eight years. It is almost totally down to the manager that we play the way we do, and get in the positions we get into. Compare our style now to the home games against Villa and Newcastle, chance after chance would come our way because we ATTACKED right from the get go. Second half Villa, all game Newcastle we never gave their defences time to breathe never mind sit back and enjoy watching us tiki-taka in and around the half-way line. That's all we do under MP, so much so that when a 'chance' arrives it's under immense pressure from opposition defenders since they've been camped in their own half all game. This is all down to MP's horrendous tactics of 1) keep ball first, 2) score goal second. It's absolutely painful to watch entertainment wise like yesterday and extremely frustrating for a Saints supporter. It's been the case ever since he came here and IMO this muppet has to go.

We'll also have a chance of finishing tenth. Get real mate.

Who would we be higher under, Adkins or Pochettino?
110_Persaint replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
This. We almost put too much emphasis on possession (a poor man's tiki-taka) and "pressing" (running around like headless chickens til exhaustion) that he misses the focus of actually producing end product and scoring a goal. Nigel somehow managed to get us both end product and playing highly attractive football. He always said you have to 'win games of football' and I wholeheartedly agree. How free flowing were we scoring wise last season? MP reminds me of Wenger in the sense that he'd consider it an insult to change his philosophy or tactics in order to do what is necessary. He's as thick-headed as a nutshell in terms of football management, and that is why this muppet has to eventually go IMO. -
After the Liverpool game we will all know the definitive answer to this question. Put simply, any less than three points next weekend and the answer's YES.
-
Chelsea 0-1 QPR ??? I seriously believe we can stay up, miraculously. Reading, Villa, QPR for me. It will go to the last day with both Wigan and us surviving. MP still has to go though. Survival won't change my mind about this muppet.

I was never good at maths but 12 + 2 + 5 = 12 + 7 = 19 no? -
List 'em all here folks. Prizes awarded to a) funniest, b) most bizarre, c) most likely to be true.

Things are looking dire right now. Teams around us hitting form at just the right time when we seem to be losing it. Even Wigan won 3-0 at Everton today ffs.

To think we could of signed Cazorla + Michu + Jelavic for that exact sum.
