Care to share a few names?

I'd take Beattie in his prime over SRL right now. Beattie used to score on off-days when the whole team was playing crap. He'd come up with something out of nothing, long-range shots, bullet headers, delightful lobs, cheeky finishes etc. that would lift the team up and get us back into games. He rarely, rarely, rarely missed golden opportunities (like ones SRL missed this season, Arsenal away, WBA away, etc.)

Perhaps you need another p*ss poor performance to be convinced Dibden, hang in there another 24 hours mate...

The difference his goals, not to mention his hand in others' goals, have made to our history are immeasurable in size and scope. For the younger generation like me, a Saints legend.

This man knows what he's talking about. He will almost certainly get the result correct, if not the precise scoreline.

Love him or hate him, the writing's on the wall for this man. It's painfully obvious our next three games will be three losses and his position will come under heavy scrutiny. He should consider himself lucky if we somehow manage to stay up. I for one seriously doubt he'll be in charge next season, whichever division we're in.

You do realize very very few fans share that sentiment don't you? He's not extraordinary, certainly not world class, but a fine, solid, dependable, premier league level centre half.

In every post-match interview in our horrendous start to the season, some player would say that the whole team are backing him and really want him to stay. Even when many fans, including nearly this entire forum, were calling for his head (Leeds, WBA).

If we have no other options - fine. Behind Shaw we have Clyne, Yoshida, Richardson, Forren, even Cork could do a job there and they would all be better options. Chaplow is simply not good enough. Do you really need me to tell you that?

Is it just me or has it lately been the case here that everybody is accusing everybody of being a WUM/troll?

If the idea is genuine why did you feel the need to exaggerate his abilities, use elaborate language and a formal list, and post naff pictures of the lad? Do we not know what he looks like? We know you're taking the p*ss mate. No need to act like you're oblivious to the fact and put on a charade. But fair play to you it was a good laugh.

Good news IMO. Solid backup and a loyal stalwart for years. Just desserts.

Personal abuse? Nothing wrong with taking the p*ss mate. The likes of Turkish, Glasgow, etc. do it all the time. I myself got a nice little chuckle out of this thread and I'm sure others did as well. But perhaps it should of gone in Muppet Show? A bit more tact next time?

Can we just come to a consensus on the following: Gaston Ramirez is an immensely talented player, but so far, pretty much all season, he has not been arsed and not bothered to show up thus rendering him ineffectual and thus a liability to the team and thus a complete waste of money? Cheers.

Well Charlie is known to take the p*ss every now and again and he proves it in this thread by doing just that.
