Just as much of a bribe.

On the news this morning they were trying to work out if the Chancellor might be able to fund tax cuts ahead of next year's election. Isn't that the Government giving people money ?

Of their own accord. How many Wagner troops were killed or wounded during that excursion ?

Somebody needs to remind them how batting points are awarded.

Something that mildly amuses every time we get home; a house 3 doors down from us have 2 cars, a black BMW estate and a Mini. I am not sure of their politics but the number plates are NA51GER and NA51USA.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

So, is Boris Johnson dead yet ? -
Which 'unbiased' sources do you rely on ?

Increasingly they are adapting anti-air missiles for use as long range surface attack systems, which are much less accurate than specifically designed cruise missiles. The problem for Ukraine with naval launches against Odesa is that the incoming missiles can only be targeted by local defences, whereas attacks on Kyiv or Kharkiv might pass over hundreds of kilometres of defended territory, and multiple layers of AAA systems.

It took me a while to get round the fact it is 'based on' rather than an adaptation of the Asimov trilogies. ( A bit like watching The Two Towers and resisting the urge to shout out "The Elves were never at Helm's Deep". )

Correct. Why could you not have simply said that half a thread ago and left out all the 'Jewish policies' malarky ? -
Somehow Holland has pulled Hants back into the match.

I'm not sure Pog was 100% before the Tour started, and his efforts on the couple of stages before the second rest day were a desperate attempt to paper over the cracks he knew were there. I think he went too deep yesterday and today's crash, even if slight, was a psychological hammer blow. ( Jealous of your piccies from the Alps ).

According to President Zelensky the grain destroyed by the Russian attack was destined for China.

They are thought to have just about exhausted pre-war stocks, and rumoured to be producing around 60 cruise and tactical ballistic missiles per month. Firing 30 in one attack in a fit of pique at (1) the Kerch bridge being attacked again and (2) nobody giving in to their attempted blackmail over the grain export deal, does not seem to make a great deal of sense. If they repeat this level of attack daily for the next fortnight then the rumours are probably wrong.

My wife did Politics at Uni, decided that she was too ethical and honest to make that her career, so went into teaching. -

Did you go to Eton or Harrow, did you study PPE at Oxbridge ? Alternatively, for the other side of the House - are you a Trade Union activist ? -
Holland, Middleton, Brown, and Dawson score 2 between them, ( well in fact Dawson scored 2, the others nothing ).

Historical data says otherwise; https://www.floodsax.co.uk/news/the-wettest-places-in-the-uk-revealed-and-why-the-people-who-live-there-need-floodsax-alternative-sandbags-for-flood-protection/

Very easy to do, getting easier as IT develops, and easier still to convince the gullible to spread it. Did you read the FactCheck article ?

Leeds is wetter and they played the last test there. Test matches are played around the country to give all fans a chance. Other than the 2 matches in London, other grounds get them on rotation, this year Manchester gets a turn. Remember, Old Trafford is where Jim Laker took match figures of 19-90 in an Ashes test. ( EDIT - and it rained at Lords in the second test ).

So we do nothing ?
