  1. He's been out delivering for the last 10 hours.
  2. And replace the army in it's defensive role with battalions of GP receptionists. Nothing gets past them.
  3. Your BBC post was put up a split second before my post, so I was not commenting on that. I was commenting on this from you, further up the page; "As per when the Forces cover for civil authorities (like the fire strike being a prime example), far reduced staff numbers, limited training and little time to prepare.... What will happen, little will be learned from how the military succeed in such instances and a return to middle management, rainbow thinking and focus on net zero and lived experiences." Any how, the BBC and SKY report on the same thing and come up with analyses that are poles apart. I suppose we should all default to the Telegraph's position.
  4. But, but, but, the military are doing things far more efficiently and showing those lazy, rude, BF staff how things are supposed to be done. Alexei told us so.
  5. It's blindingly obvious.
  6. Could the Army cover for him though ?
  7. There are also reports that Virgin and BA stopped selling tickets for strike days, so passenger numbers might be down.
  8. Makes a change from white washing rocks, endless kit inspections, or polishing a ship's brigthwork.
  9. So, put the correct number of staff on the gates checking paperwork, as the strikers are asking, ( 1000 on strike replaced by nearly 1400 military and civil servants ), and miraculously there are no queues. ( I also wonder if the service personnel are actually paid more than the BF staff ).

And they were also one of Russia's "justifications", parroted by a couple of shills on here, for the SMO.

  12. Why is it on so many toilet doors then ?
  13. Whilst having left their trolley on the other side of the aisle.
  14. In summary, if you now hold that men and women are different this is viewed as a load of bollocks.
  15. But a bigot discriminates rather than celebrates.
  16. But it isn't just last night. On any match weekend the BBC will trail, for instance, "Chelsea vs Brighton", despite Graham Potter's team being due to play at Anfield. Why not accept things and go with the French: "Vive la difference"
  17. Why is their competition not simply called the "Super League" ? Why precede it with the 'W' word ? Unless they are worried that people will confuse them with Rugby League's senior competition.
  18. Driving home last night my wife ( a Man City supporter ) was puzzled when the R5 presenter said that Chelsea were playing PSG in the Champions League. "How are they playing in Europe when City are playing Liverpool in the cup ?" ................... Why can't they simply add that they are talking about the women's game ?
  19. I thought this thread was going to be a successor to the Defectors Watch on the main board.
  20. Not 'til the semis.
  21. How long does it take to warm up the 'correct' balls in a total of 8 ?
  22. This in a country where the national costume requires men to wear skirts.

    Booze

Our SiL went on a corporate do last night in Brum, drank quite a bit, fell over and hurt himself. His mates drove him home this morning and I have spent the afternoon with him in Wigan A&E where they have just found his collar bone is broken in 3 places. Zero sympathy emanating from his family. EDIT: He has to go back tomorrow morning to have a plate fitted to hold it all in place. He has also fessed to how much he can remember drinking - I'm surprised he was stood up long snough to manage to fall over.

    Russia

Yes. Those pesky Ukrainians, standing up to our tanks, firing back, recapturing their territory. How dare they.
