Carrie complaining in the press that she is being picked on. -
I think starting with 3 at the back and the wing backs pushed high was as much the cause of the first half shambles as the 10 changes. Valery is not, and will never be a Centre Back, Tino looks good bursting forward from FB but there seemed to be less room for him positioned wide in a congested midfield, other players seemed to not quite understand where they were meant to be or what their team mates were supposed to be doing. Maybe Ralph was trying to be too clever, and overlooked the FACup effect of a lower division team playing away at a higher division one, and raising their game to bully the 'big shots'.

It was.

If we could persuade Long to go down with a head injury........
-
Our midfield is very disjointed.
-
Which would then leave us with no further substitutions, ( unless it goes to E.T. ).

They are contracted first team squad members of a Premier League team. Even if they are only good enough to be 'bit part' players at that level, they should still be better than a mid table Championship side, especially at home.
-
2 questions ; who are the home team ? Who are the Premier League team ?

The "i" reports BoJo has been touting peerages and knighthoods to MPs to buy their support, and the Conservative Chief Whip has "turned his phone off". -

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/civil-war-in-cabinet-as-boris-johnson-told-to-sack-rishi-sunak-hgdfjtdjj "The cabinet descended into rancour over Boris Johnson’s future last night after both Sajid Javid and Rishi Sunak rebuked the prime minister. One cabinet minister called for Johnson to dismiss Sunak, and two others accused the chancellor of being “on manoeuvres” after he criticised the prime minister for a personal attack on Sir Keir Starmer."........… "Javid, the Health Secretary, followed Sunak by saying that the Labour leader "deserves the respect for taking on such a big public job and doing well". -

Talking of things that have "failed to materialise", where is that UK/US trade deal mentioned in the OP ?
-
So although the trade situation with the EU is worse than before Brexit, it is not as bad as some predicted it might be. Sunny Uplands indeed.

Tory MPs busy congratulating their new colleague from Southend West and thanking constituency workers for all the hard work they put in during the by-election campaign. It was the easiest election they would ever have had. -

Can somebody find an example of BoJo saying something truthful ? " Boris Johnson has made a claim about the number of people in work that the regulator had told No10 was incorrect. There were "more people in work now than before the pandemic began", he said at Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday. But on Tuesday, Ed Humpherson, from the Office for Statistics Regulation, had sent one of the prime minister's advisers at Downing Street a letter saying it was "incorrect to state that there were more people in work at the end of this period than the start". Responding to a complaint from the fact-checking organisation Full Fact, Mr Humpherson had told No 10 this claim had been made by the prime minister in Parliament on 24 November, 15 December, 5 January, 12 January and 19 January." .......... "Labour MP Justin Madders raised a point of order in the House of Commons, pointing out the letter saying the claim was incorrect. "The public have a right to expect what is said by the prime minister at the dispatch box to be truthful and accurate," he said." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/60245483 ( I think Justin Madders MP is deluded in what he expects, he has been in the HoC since 2015 and has had plenty of experience of the Eton Mess ). -
