    Booze

Our SiL went on a corporate do last night in Brum, drank quite a bit, fell over and hurt himself. His mates drove him home this morning and I have spent the afternoon with him in Wigan A&E where they have just found his collar bone is broken in 3 places. Zero sympathy emanating from his family. EDIT: He has to go back tomorrow morning to have a plate fitted to hold it all in place. He has also fessed to how much he can remember drinking - I'm surprised he was stood up long snough to manage to fall over.

    Russia

Yes. Those pesky Ukrainians, standing up to our tanks, firing back, recapturing their territory. How dare they.
  4. It is a public vote for the BBC's selection. It's nearly as bad as an election in Russia.
  5. Yes, but 2 of the women are lesbians, and one of those is black.

A couple of months ago they became Satanists.

    Russia

According to Vlad he still thinks of Ukraine as a 'brotherly nation', and it is most certainly not Russia's fault that thousands of missiles have been launched against Ukrainian infrastructure sites.
  10. Although this is not my photo, I did spot these whilst shopping this morning. My wife's response was they are obviously not for vegetarians.
  11. Complain about the legal requirement to do it, not the process itself.
  12. How do you define a 'non-job' ? Where they are claimed to exist there is generally a linked requirement to have such a post laid on the public body, whether legislative or linked to funding. Very few are randomly created simply for poops and giggles.
  13. And whilst we are on the subject
  14. Yes, it is true about the underfunded and understaffed, overworked Public Sector. I totally agree with you on that.
  15. No I am not. I posted in response to Egg's comment about underfunded public services, and my post suggested that somebody would pop up with some ramblings about that archetypal bete-noir, the right wing press' favourite target, the "non job,". Lo and behold, there you were, closely followed by your Poundshop double act sidekick..
  16. How many 'complete non-jobs' are there actually ? It is easy to highlight the exceptions whilst ignoring the gross staff shortages across the Public Sector.
  17. How about the 22 thousand people helping fight crime that we lost during the first 10 years of this spell of Tory mismanagement, or a properly staffed nursing corps ? 1 Head of Equality pales into insignificance, but you keep banging on about it.
  18. And along comes Turkish's mini-me, right on cue.
  19. Congratulations, that may be one in some peoples' eyes. How many Public Sector workers are there ?
  20. But, you are forgetting about all the non-jobs across the Public Sector, and the appalling lack of productivity as they all sit on their fat arses counting the days to their massive pensions. ( For those who fail to spot it, this is an IRONIC post ).

  22. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-64053696 "The UK scheme to settle millions of EU citizens risks creating illegal migrants overnight and is unlawful, the High Court has ruled."
  23. I did that a couple of times at work with questions from Microsoft. After one calamitous upgrade their survey scored -1, and later after another epic fail on their part my response to "What is the best feature of Windows Server 2008" was "It allows me to overwrite it with LINUX".
