  1. The first quote suggests that Boris wants a friendly face in charge of the Met, and that nobody pushes her out. The second quote suggests that, with her going of her own volition, only a few hours after publicly stating she was staying in post, Boris will want a friendly face in charge of the Met.

  3. What we will get as the next Commissioner is somebody willing to conclude the Partygate inquiry to Boris' satisfaction.
  4. When the newly appointed ( annointed ? ) Brexit Benefits Minister has to put out a public plea for people to notify him of possible benefits from leaving the EU, you know that the whole thing is just fundamentally built of bullshit.

    Russia

Russia's FM makes a fool of ours; ( from the BBC running coverage ) "You do recognise Russia's sovereignty over the Rostov and Voronezh regions?" Lavrov asked, referring to two Russian regions. After a brief pause, the paper says, Truss replied: "Great Britain will never recognise Russia's sovereignty over those regions." "Great Britain's Ambassador to the RF [Russian Federation], Deborah Bronnert, had to step in, delicately explaining to Ms Truss that the two regions [Rostov and Voronezh] are indeed Russian,"
  8. Maybe look at it this way; the challenge on Broja, poor officiating thereof, and subsequent second Spurs goal led to Saints responding to an injustice by taking control of the game and scoring two quick goals to rectify the wrong in a manner the referee couldn't interfere with.
  9. Use the same system rugby uses, the video ref is free to inform the onfield official of potential serious foul play at any time, even if the game has progressed by a minute or more.
  10. Ely's goal. From the start of that move to Che heading the third Spurs barely had a touch.
  11. CD says she has no intention of quitting - GM's blood pressure goesup a notch.

Seeing as Liz Truss is currently in Moscow, why don't we simply tell Putin that unless he backs down we will leave her there.

  21. From the BBC "Handball from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg?? It's being checked. The ball certainly hits the Dane on the arm, but it looks like he is pulling it away and VAR says nothing wrong with that. Would have been given last season."
  22. Like extending the funds managed by your investment company to bases in Ireland to keep it within the EU ? "A firm co-founded by the Conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg has set up its second investment fund in Ireland, insisting it “has nothing to do with Brexit”. It comes after the prominent Brexiteer faced questions last month after it emerged Somerset Capital Management (SCM) had set up its first Dublin-registered investment fund. The business, which invests millions into emerging and frontier markets, also issued a stark warning over Brexit earlier this year, suggesting there was the likelihood to be “considerable uncertainty” as Britain leaves the bloc" https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/jacob-rees-mogg-brexit-scm-ireland-investment-fund-conservative-mp-a8461021.html Co-incidentally; "Jacob Rees-Mogg’s new job as minister for ‘Brexit opportunities’ could make him substantially richer through his shares in an $8bn investment fund, experts have warned." https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/opendemocracyuk/jacob-rees-moggs-new-brexit-post-make-him-richer/ Sunny uplands.
  23. Don't forget there was a reduction in shop lifting, which had nothing whatsoever to do with shops being closed during lockdown.
  24. If you want to judge the people in those images by their appearance, you should also bear in mind who amongst them is doing the most damage to the country and it's credibility.
  25. Probably the same as yours on your previous post.
